So with the few hours it took to make a skin...this is implying they could have fixed everything? Better yet How the hell do you expect a game with no subscription model to be able to afford to do all the fixes....SMH
There is absolutely NOTHING that could happen that wouldn't have someone piss moan and whine in this game, there was a huge outcry for clan mechs, they are soon to be released and now there's a bunch of internet warriors going ballistic about fix this this and this, do what I say not what others say, I could run this company correctly! rabble rabble rabble.
End of the day I assume it's a bunch of burger flipping kids pissing and moaning about a freaking gold skin colour....how dare they support the game. Why is there no outcry over lime green, or camo patterns, I'm sure quite a few of those aren't "canon", hell Fractal has a pearl paint effect to it, no one flipped the F out over that.
It's not the fact that it's a skin that took a few hours to make (and honestly, I think you're over selling the PGI art dept if you think they only made it in a few hours), its the fact that the marketing department thinks this is continually okay to do.
Right, I get it F2P has to pine for the "whales" to make the majority of their money.
But how is it at all a value when a skin costs 500$? (and remember, when this originally came out, there was no Masakari package included, it was just the Gold mech. AFTER there was outcry, they included the Masakari Package)
Many of us love this franchise, and don't want to see PGI fail. Nor do we just want to sit around and complain, whine, and ***** everytime something doesn't go our way.
But it's become somewhat of an abusive relationship where PGI has repeatedly told us they love us, and they're going to totally take us to a nice restaurant next time, and they drop us off at McDonalds.
Do I believe they're intentionally trying to screw us? Not at all. I think it's a mixture of biting off more than they could chew, a small team with people not quite to the level they need to be at to be operating with their responsibilities, and IGP's horrible marketing team.
And as far as their focus, yes, I believe that the horse is being put before the cart when it comes to the priorities they have everyone working on.
The clan mechs are the all hands on deck project right now. They have a month to create them, test them, and get them to the purchasers. And as of last week, Niko Snow provided info stating that they haven't even started testing the mechs, much less have any idea what the warhorns or bonus modules are actually going to do, much less put those in the game either.
And yet, the matchmaker continues to fall apart, old issues get swept under the rug, and people who continue to push for a better frame work for the game, and not just more mechs, are told they're whining.
Got it.
