Look, In the age of try before you buy i aint buying till i see what i am getting.

Every Mech game has sucked. and never stayed true to the table top.

Also being a Professional developer i know the limitations of the cry engine, lets just hope they have a source license and are not doing stuff in LUA for the engine.

But i want to see and make sure i want to play it before I buy.

Its like a marriage i wanna know what i am getting into and a strong prenuptial agreement.

I doubt that you are a "professional developer" based on the tone of your post. What self respecting professional is going to go and post some passive aggressive bullshit like this on a forum like an angry 12 year old?

Support the game and get the rewards, or don't. We honestly don't care which. They can't let everyone "try before they buy". Its not possible. Deal with it, preferably without making any more self important posts.

Yeah a informed decision is a good one. SO they are making you pick your mech first? And you dont even really know what you can put in it etc and mod it etc. hrmms.

Well lets see. There are 4 Mechs, all Prime configs. Atlas is a assult, Catapult is a firesupport heavy would have missle racks/hardpoints I suspect. Hunchback is a medium close in brawler. and the Jenner is a fast scout mech. They have said roles will be important. So are you a Recon Guy? Do you like to Brawl and would that be in a med or a assult? Or do you like fire support? If they stay true to the mech designs as they have said they will. Then you should alerady know a lot about each of the 4 chassies.

If they are not that restrictive, you still know a lot about the chassies as there is one from each weight class.

You can drop her when you please but you get to keep the disease. (I made a rhyme)

The ting is that we are not sure what mech will host what and the limitations. so its a blind faith thing.

To be fair, if you did not enjoy any of the previous Mechwarrior games what makes you think you will enjoy MWO?

I may be stepping on some toes here but what I expect from MWO is a Mechwarrior game much like the previous ones. Certainly there will be nuts and bolts that are different and make it a different experience in some ways, but I doubt it'll be a far cry from the other Mechwarrior games.

So, instead of demanding to get to play the game before others (who probably enjoyed the previous Mechwarrior games and are more likely to enjoy this one) I suggest you enjoy your tabletop gaming until the release of MWO where you will be able to try it (for free!).

Actually this being a semi indie game i expect more table top less frag and fps in a mech skin.

Well, you'll be waiting a while, OP.

What makes you think that PGI are willing to negotiate with terrorists?

I look at my purchase of the Founder's Pack as I would look at a stock purchase. With stocks, you're putting up money to purchase a stock as a means of making more money based on the expected success of a company (though earnings aren't necessarily a measure of stock success). A vote of confidence, through cash. With MWO, I'm putting up my money betting for a return of entertainment rather than more money. And I'm stoked!

It really is a decision based upon faith. Though, one would hope it's also based on doing as much research on this game as you can, to decide if it's worth the money you work for.

Edit(don't want to multipost): CaveMan: LOL @ your comment, I spit all over my screen :)

Typically game companies do not allow prebuys and such before features and such are RC (Release Candidate) It still seems much is planned but not disclosed.

Agreed. Though in my eyes, that can often be the nature of investment. This is why, for me at least, I won't be terribly upset if the game isn't everything I've ever dreamed. I'll be satisfied with 10%(I know, completely arbitrary) of that, and that's worth my cash. :)

Of course beta isn't actually gameplay, it's buggy and glitchy and needs fine tuning. So it's more like looking at your wife's ugly stepsister to see if you want to marry into that family. And beta is to fix the problems, not just play the game.

While everyone isn't buying founder's packages, we'll be having our names listed in the MWO credits.

Pretty nice for a decade long wait. Only pay $120 once for a game you'll be playing for years to come, and you get your own inclusion into the credits...
