Thanks for the explaination. Hopefully a UI option fix for this is coming. I got a few FPS back turning that stuff off.

So, uh, I see we're still in maintenance.
Is there a li'l 3/3/3/3 somethin' somethin' in that down time?
Or we still just getting the mode selection hotfix for now?
Even the Biebs is looking forward to it!

So you better buy some time. Do you go to the grocery without money?

Leave it off. We should be able to play 4 man groups at whatever weight we want. This limits people. Give us the ability to make mech changes during the ready up phase of game entry and none of the current complaining about being outweighed will matter. Personally, I like mediums and will engage assualts one on one in my Shadowhawk. If ELO is so broken that weight matters, then you are looking for balancing in the wrong place.

...and I will never buy premium time, especially just to play private matches. I will boat LRMs in public before I do this.

No, but I also don't expect to pay to try their free cheese samples.
Discarding your misguided metaphor for a moment, I'd much rather try new mech builds/strategies in a private match where I'm not potentially letting my team down.
edit:
That said, I'm totally fine with private matches not awarding any cbills or xp.

aside from that, the one serious problem I have is how we are locked out of our mechlabs when we are in a privet match. This makes it very difficult to modify mechs we may or may not use when trying to match tonnage or trying to adhere to equipment limitations set for the match without having to back out of the match and then request an invite to get back in from the host.
I do not understand how this logical functionality was overlooked. This should be fixed ASAP.

The private matches should've been implemented a long time ago. You probably would've kept players who were only playing because of the groups they were in. Maybe you can get some to return but it should've been in the game a long time ago among other things.

There has been a point of sync-dropping 12mans working effectively in pug matches now, as well as 12mans getting dropped in the PUG queue -
has that been fixed with the rollback or is that still going on?
