Like I said earlier nothing needs to be added but if they did they should do it by amount spent not when you spent. Who supported the game more somebody that spent $30 on the last day of Founders or somebody that spent $300 over the last year? So if they did decide to give a loyalty freebie bonus at some point it should be something like 10MC for every $ spent. Or something like that.

Loyalty is not measured in bribes. :)

as a guy who got in during the beta-email mix up, I think Founders should be put on a higher priority list for a few reasons.

1. they took the biggest risk and got this thing off the ground
2. they took the risk voiced their opinions during beta testing, putting pretty good ideas on the board and giving the devs the information they needed. (which was mooted after going open)
3. they are still taking a risk by sticking around.

Last time I heard from last year, only a handful (from an investor's standpoint, range in a few thousand) remain in the system.

so yeah... respect your elders and remember the fallen, other games do that and they get super-successful. Why can't we?

I don't agree that founders need more perks. The devs don't have to treat me special, the coffee mug is plenty good enough. The game would not benefit from having two tiers of mech warriors, those who are founders and others. If anything, that's something that annoys the hell out of me with star citizen... Those people who found the game earlier than others and somehow think they should be "special". That attitude breeds contempt and MWO doesn't need to import it here.

For my clarity, can you expand what risk you did take (where you say "the biggest...") and are still taking?

Thanks

As a Founder ... when did the devs ever treat you special?

I guess all those businesses with loyalty/frequent shopper rewards programs didn't get that memo.

Isn't it common knowledge that the rewards from those programs are built into the GP of the participants. ie, you are paying more at the till each time for something "free" in the future.

well, it's not about me (even though for the past 2 years I practically spent every waking moment putting it all in MWO, but that's beside the point), but I will say the time I've spent playing MWO... all premium time that I've nary used, all the people who I used to run with who are now gone... those were things that I invested in...

sure it's not 100% money and I know that I'm a peon compared to you "wallet warriors"

but compared to other people, Founders sure do get shafted more than then rest of us.

I'd prefer that PGI delivers the game they promised to Founders above all else. It's what I paid them to do anyway.

No they didn't. See how loyal those shopper are without the rewards.

I don't now how the fundraising for games works in the background. But basically by buying a Founderspack, these people are kinda stakeholders and should have an influence on what happens to their money. Unfortunately the marketing is twisted and just gives them a game + some worthless goodies. Especially when i see what the game is, I would say its an unfinished product. At least imagine it would be a regular buy to play game with dedicated ervers instead of a core server. I guess this way with the current features, it wouldn't sell much.
Those people actually paid a price worth a "full game" and all they get is somethign that looks like 20% finished. Hardly a proper relation.

I mean come on an MMO, that doesn't even have a proper chatsystem?
Paying for private matches? WTF? Thats kinda basic element a game should come with for FREE.
Woudl I be a founder, I would regret it. I possibly even would feel scammed, depending on the founders packsize I would have bought.

Check out some other free-to-play games sometime. In Blacklight, you have to pay per hour on their servers for a private game, like it's some seedy motel.

Well the point of the programs is to make money by getting you to come back. But a lot of rewards programs at places like restarants or grocery stores are free so it doesn't cost you anything. They just figure that getting your business more often will out weigh the cost of giving you something cheap or knocking a small percent of your bill off.

Depends, I would still go to all the places that I go to if they dropped those rewards, but I don't go there for the rewards. Just like I wouldn't stop coming here if they don't give out these freebies. But I would be a bit annoyed and thus probably less likely to spend money if they started giving out decent freebies to founders but not to the other people that spend money.

Me. I take loyalty very serious. 25 years of marriage, 20 years on the job. Only use Heinz ketchup and BallPark Hot Dogs.

Context man, context. Are you going to keep using Heinz ketchup if they double their price or change their ingredients or heaven forbid... start calling it catsup?

Double the price. Yes
Change the ingredients... probably
It has been Catsup in my vernacular for 43 years!

Loyalty is.
