This sounds fun. Would love to take part but need a team first and plenty of practice. Being a Beta though i can't see it being a regular weekly feature it'll be something they run out every few months. :o

Exciting! Good luck to all the contestants and to PGI on their first tourny. Hope it’s goes well for everyone.
Great prizes, too!

If there’s a team that needs another team member or sub, send me a message!
I got headset and all that jazz and a large range of mechs i'm comfy playing.

But they catered to everyone despite it's flaws. This type of tournament would be fine once they got in CW and players can match up in game. Right now it will just create a wedge in the community.

This is the first tournament PGI has put on for its competitive community, who arguably promote the game the most with all the recruitment, streaming, videos, and just general advertisement. It's time we get a bone.

In any case, this looks like quite a bit of fun! House of Lords (ggclose) will definitely be participating :o

It would be difficult to have a month long tournament every week with more teams.

Yeah maybe a bi-weekly would work better but I figure they will compress things as they get it all ironed out. I guess I just hope that they push to expand on it and provide the resources to see it flourish.

Also I see no reason they can't have multiple tourneys going at the same time. Could have tiers based on pre-drop rules to allow folks to cater to what they want. They need to use and promote these as events as ways to get people to play in groups.

Sounds like it could be fun. If anyone is desperate enough to want my help, I'd join a team for this. :]

Sounds interesting.

This part bugs me though. Will I be able to use this additional time independently of by banked premium time? I would hate to turn it on for a tournament drop and have no way to stop it from ticking down.

What exactly would be so complicated about having a teammate stand in as captain?

6PM to 9PM est?

Hope you don't have a job or live on the west coast

No limits on how many teams a player can play for.

No tie breaking rules.

Ya, these rules need to be expanded.

You can start with the player run tournaments, they have been writing rules for tourneys for a while now.

I take it there are no NA / EU / Asia divisions? How do you expect teams with 12 hours time difference to play each other may I ask? Again, just shows how much you care ... not.

I don't think there are enough teams to support an EU division, and especially not an Asian one.

And again, PGI only does things half right....what about the European community? Its big, and these times are NOT good for them.

Well done PGI

And what if NO ONE wants to burn premium time unnecessarily?

So essentially a tournament that only caters to 16% of your player base.

Oh look, another person who doesn't know where the 16% come from. It's not the playerbase.

Split the Tournament into EU / NA / RU timezones please, otherwise a large chunk of your playerbase probably won't participate.

Looking at the RHOD/MRBC EU Division there are plenty of teams.

Sweet jesus...can you just put a sock in it. ONE TEAM TOURNAMENT and **** hits the fan for the entire community. I guess it is just too much to ask for.
