Really nice looking, but lack of hardpoints might be a bit of a problem...

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss the TImberwolf, but that Summoner was the mech of choice back in the MW2 Mercnet days, I look forward to leveling mine up and racking it with all energy. Let us get some good Aidan Pryde DFA action in with ramped up collision values for a Hero Pryde Summoner. The Summoner is a knock down, drag out brawler. Seeing that pic bought a slight glistening edge to my eye...good job PGI

So...any back room deals for a Black Lady Warhammer IIC and a Carlyle Marauder? C'mon fellas....push it. We can't have a Black Widow company in the Wolf's Dragoons and Grey Death Legion without them....I promise you those will probably top any 1st week sales records out of any mech release to date. Change the geometry slightly, we don't care, you've already improved everything else.

This Summoner is lovely and about to have me up late at night again. Once again, excellent work. ^_^

Aside from both arms having protruding barrels (at most, only one should, right?), it looks fantastic.

You can replace the arms and side torsos to get more hardpoints. But the more hardpoints you stack on, the more it hinders mobility in some sort of way. Had a thingy that if there's no hardpoint inflation, would allow up to 9 hardpoints with just the right mixing/matching.

Though I also will miss the 'original' glare style, covered cockpit, I think the design is well done and I will be proud to be piloting one.
Back in MW2 & MW3 days if I wanted something with jump jets, the Summoner (Prime or C) was always my first choice. Variant C is awesome for duels.

That being said, the size of the missile pod worries me a bit. I wonder how the mech looks if you decide to pull the missiles off?
I hope that the C variant's missile pod is smaller.

Thanks PGI for making the Summoner look good.

It looks just as hideous as you'd imagine- but that is canonical, so I'll let it slide. Dunno about the rest of you.

The word "Hunchback" comes to mind.

Funny you should say that. Because the Hunchback looks kind of like a Summoner is actually one of the reasons I decided to give Hunchbacks a shot and it turns out they are great mechs!

The Griffin cockpit bothers me but it looks good otherwise. I was really hoping it'd get a hardpoint buff cause it's fairly limited if staying in prime config. Really wish they'd release other variants hard points already, tis scary stuff.

I'm right there with you. Especially looking forward to B and C variants.

Yeah i like it but i´ll stand by my IS summoner ^_^

McHoshi I thought you liked piloting DCCs

not all clan mechs have fixed jump jets. though the Thor/Summoner does.

also, in regards ot the dome cockpit thing:
dome cockpit is canon/lore:

it is supposed to look like that.

Where did you get the 2nd pic?? I've never seen it before. Looks good!

Same. Summoner C was my mech for stock matches in MW3. SO fun to outmaneuver missiles and drop Timberwolf Ds

Wasn't it! I'll bet you can't wait to do that again soon
I know I can't :D

Man as great as these mechs are all looking I really hope PGI changes their mind about fixed things..

I mean seriously look at the Prime version. stock 1B, 1E, 1M. So really.. stock config is gonna be about as good as your gonna finagle since it has literally no hardpoint variation.

Toss the fact that the Summoner has a bad armor rating that you need to accommodate for than realize that this mech is only running 1 ton of ammo for the LBX and 2 tons ammo for the LRM 15...

Man if only you could endo it..

Edit: or you know remove some of those FIVE jumpjets..

Pros - Love the arms and legs. Great proportion. Would love to see a size comparion, but judging by the cockpit and the size of that missile drum, it might actually be kind of svelte.

Cons - I know, I know, I was the one calling for more round edges on Clan 'Mechs. But really... the Summoner's cockpit was not the place to make headway there. It wouldn't be so wonky-looking if it at least had a flat top and bubbly sides.

I was surprised about the cockpit and the PPC arm, but I really like it. Now this is poptarting with style! ^_^ This cockpit looks like it is the ideal place to relax, put up your sunglasses and enjoy your ice cream sundae after smashing your enemies' mech. You guys really nailed the design.

The pod cast they clearly said that was just one idea, and I'm sure there will need to be other nerfs to it. However a 7 heat DOT AC20 vs a pinpoint 6 heat one does already sound balanced.

Hi! My name is Clan LB-20X and my slug ammo wants to have a word with you.

Now that would be nice. If this cockpit is nearly as scenic as the Griffins... see above.

That's gonna have to wait; I haven't got any clan packages. ^_^ Though I won't complain if someone wants to donate a cheap one.

Impressive!

I'll likely be content with a Kitfox, though truth be told something about the Adder says "you've been practicing for this." (All the slow lights and PPC rigs).

The extremely long barrels on all the Omnis just seem to scream, "Hug Me!" to every Light 'Mech.
