I get sick seeing these gold variants. It's a slap in the face to the lore, in which people are scrounging for resources to survive, much less wage war, and splurging on gold plating for mechs would be a shockingly arrogant waste.

The prices I can understand. It's the idea that annoys me.

Ramen, even the gourmet "Top Ramen", only comes out to about 11c a package. You have obviously not had to live on a budget lately

Nope. That's a gameplay issue that has to trump lore. The BLING MECHS are actually going out of their way to step on the spirit of the game.

In your eyes, maybe, but the point is any "mechwarriors are poor" rant is silly in this game. We have gold and chrome versions of automobiles currently, so anyone that can have 30+ mechs in their "garage" is more than capable of putting a gold bath on their war machine too.
