Whenever PGI makes a tweet, their numbers always have certain qualifiers with them, which caused people to question. Also there was the timing...like I believe they mentioned some sort of number after 3PV was released. Which everyone knew was BS because even Paul says they purposely gimped 3PV.
And do you know how many people played WoW? Even if you linked me 100 different "doomsayers" it would still be a drop in the bucket.
Where as here, it seems like more than half of the official forums are doomsayers.
WoW has NEVER had that level of pessimism.
To be fair, PGI has definitely not helped themselves by trying to assuage people's anxieties or angst with the right level of information, the right interaction with the community, or - let's face it - in many cases the right tone. Whether or not the membership is declining, this is definitely a point I'll agree with. Blizzard has had many disconnects with its fans and some rampant imbalance, but they've always been pretty good about maintaining meaningful dialogue even if they didn't always take feedback to heart.

btw just check how many ppl click on Mwo Videos.. Wether offical Pgi videos or community in game videos.. It never reaches 100.000... Mainly its below 10.000
I have a hard time with that one. I have played thousands and thousands of games, but I could probably count the number of videos I've watched on one hand. Maybe I'm an exception and there's something to be gleaned there though. I don't know. I'm definitely an experiential learner.
How do MWO videos compare with videos from other similar games of the same type? That might be an interesting comparison.
