Does anybody know what has been said regarding what components will and can be included in Omni-Pods?

I know Omni-Pods will include the usual missile/laser/ballistic weapon slots but will they have specific ECM/BAP Pods too and if so, will they be available to only a select few mechs?

I ask as in theory any clan mech could have them, potentially and in the TT game a clan mech could chop and change any item they wanted, weight and slots constraints not withstanding.

Cheers

If those slow, clan light mechs can't equip ECM then they'll be the ones exploding!

logic does not matter when QQing, those that can't deal with things like ECM will light up the forums about how broken it is (regardless of it it's cannon or not) and how the clan mechs are OP (which is also cannon) and need to be nerfed or they will quit and make all thier friends quit and thier friends friends and thier grandmothers dogs ect...

Only the Uller and Loki should have ECM.

And the Dire Wolf (Daishi) by way of the 'C' variant.

The the Nova U, but the only way we'd get that is piece by piece.

KitFox, ShadowCat, Vulture, Hellbringer, Dire Wolf are just a few that had ECM up to the Battle of Luthien. I'm sure plenty more did as well.

If they add more ecm without actually fixing it first , In my mind they will have reached the pinnacle of this games failure.

What you just mentioned is a massive advantage not to mention the fact it almost entirely negates a weapon system , Most of the counters are either utter garbage or suicide to use in most situations or both, If you can get into a position to counter ecm its extremely difficult with extreme risk to yourself, to use ecm you equip it and forget about it , That's whats op . If it just covered the person using it I could live with it but the way it works now it needs adjusting majorly.

Most things in MW:O are extremely risky to use...you have to expose yourself...while I agree the bubble should be much smaller I don't think, as a whole, ECM is OP

a range reduction would go a long way to balance it, cut it down by about half of it's current field and i think most would stop complaining about it.

The way it stacks is about the only problem I have with it.

Theres a risky and having to spam a beam at some1 telling everyone where you are for long enough to get a lock holding the beam on them before u can use all your weapons , or in some cases any weapons at all , narc isn't worth it more then 1 ecm its garbage , uav is 40k and again doesn't last long enough , baps garbage range to cancel ecm is to low even with advanced sensor range . If your at that range with lrms in most cases your dead anyway with balance as it stands. The way ecm works is just poorly thought out.

so what I'm gathering is that you're upset that you don't have unfettered access to shoot at any and all enemy mechs

Cut the total coverage in half, leave the rest of the range as "interferance", sort of an anti-beagle/Artemis. (Slow down locks and info gathering, but don't stop it all together). Still effective, still covers teammates, not a total counter.

actually they have to do a complete overhaul of sensors and their functionality, should be harder to spot light mechs who dont carry ecm think signature radius in eve.

yes, that's exactly what i was thinking, not a total nerf of the system but a way to balance it out more without making it useless

Yes I am when the only thing stopping anyone else is LoS of course they'll straight out beat me in a LoS battle and theyre weapons have no counters, I'm outclassed in a LoS fight , And the only dude that has multiple counters with crappy counters to deal with said counters . Its bs . I may not be articulating well but theres a reason you rarely see lrms in competitive play.
