Hate to say it but switch it off

6 minute waits for a medium mech then 30 seconds
6 minute wait the 2

This isn't the biggest issue, though it would in the long term it will have a negative effect on population

last match terra therma catapult no pilot, disconnect on a highlander

Losing two heavy weight makes the match more imbalanced than without 3/3/3/3.

Your servers still start matches without loading everyone after two years and are dropping people.

I can't talk for the rest of the community, but this isn't what I'm prepared to pay for, or continue to log in for, after the months of developement this game has had the match maker should not be starting games without pilots in mechs

Well I'm tired of waiting to play. They need to just match the weights not force it to be 3s. Come to think of it doesn't that mess up the lances anyway? Lances have 4 mechs. That's for another topic. Just get the weight classes close. If one team has 43 assaults make sure the other team has 4 assaults. Not have one team with 7 assaults and the other team only have 2. I guess I won't be playing this game until the next patch.

About 3:55pm and 4:05PM EDT. Just had 2 solo medium, conquest+skirmish games connect within 2 minutes.

My only concern if the match maker can't even handle this type of strain how do we expect it to handle even more brackets with the introduction of the Clans. You'll have the following filters:

IS Class: Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault
IS ELO: varied
Game Mode: Conquest, Assault, Skirmish
Map: 11
Clan Class: Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault
Clan ELO: varied
CW vs Non-CW

This isn't giving me any confidence that you'll be able to handle that.

We're up to 40 minutes, PGI.

Let's recap: Matchmaker recommended a medium at 1528 EST. I dropped in a medium, solo, any game mode. I've been waiting 40 minutes.

YOUR GAME IS NOW UNPLAYABLE OUTSIDE OF PRIVATE MATCHES.

Well one thing is for sure i won't play, if i have to wait longer for a match then to actually play it, turn this mess off!

Waiting solo AND two player group 4 to 15(!) min. Sorry guys, I love Mechs and the setting, but this time you gone to far. To break WORKING features into buggy peaces is not customer friendly, but has tradition at PGI.

BTW, Premiumtime-Users, lighten up your money - but don´t waste it in WAITINGTIME...

Repost due to button mashing error: Alright everyone. Matchmaking numbers continued to spike with Rule of Three's. So we are adjusting this Class Limit to a maximum of 4s. This means any of the following variations of weight classing will be possible:

3/3/3/3
4/3/3/2
4/4/3/1
4/4/2/2
4/4/4/0
etc..

We are going to see how this works out, there remains a strong possibility we will have to further increase this maximum or altogether shut off the class limits and revert back to group limits in the interim, so please stay tuned here. We are playing by ear on this one as we build the data. Thanks again for standing by.

As seen here. However, it's still backend only...4-mans are still capped at a max of 3 per weight class.

I'm wondering

with the whole ELO thing, wouldn't groups with mixed ELO really break this thing as it tries to find all players within same ELO range.

First attempt after patch:
~19:35 UTC, Solo - Any game type - Light mech as was indicated by the Launch overlay, would possibly be faster.
Waited 5 minutes or so, restarted game.

Second attempt:
~19:45 UTC, Solo - Any game type - Medium mech, as it was now indicated to lead to faster join.
Waited 15 minutes, finally loaded into game. Was a 12 - 0 Win for my side, and I didn't see all of the team's other tonnage, but guessing it was probably unbalanced.

Third attempt:
~20:10 UTC, Solo - any game type - Medium - waiting...

If you dropping in a group the MM seems to work. But not if you are Pugging. 2 drops in a 3 man 2-4mins wait. Solo 4 x 10 mins. and nothing.

Had a match where we had 4 Lights, 4 Mediums, 2 Heavies, 2 Assaults. Got rolled by 4 Assaults, 3 Heavies, 3 Mediums, 2 Lights.
This fix is not working either.

Ok Im not usually big on giving feedback but this... I have a premium time burning while mm is...doing...nothing... 3-3-3-3 dont work. Focus on comunity warfare !

I tried a couple of solo drops as an Assault. A bit longer waiting time than normal, but I got matched up within 2-3 minutes, I would guess.

Then I went on to drop as a group with one to three others, and the first time (me and one other player) we had to abort because we could not get a match. We were both in Assault 'Mechs, but when I switched to a Heavy we got into a match in 5 minutes or so. After that, the waiting times seemed to go down to just a bit longer than normal.

My experience seems to be quite a bit more positive than that of the rest of you here in the thread, I don't know why though.
