Sigh.
How about starting low.
Disable premades and ELO matching and see how the matchmaker does.

To see if 3333 actually works.

Should wait time improve enable ELO and see how it works out.

Trial and error. You know?

Why force 3-3-3-3? Make it 4 max per weight class (At worst, you get a 4-4-2-2 vs a 2-2-4-4, hardly the most unbalanced drop you'll see). Got tons of heavies and assaults? Matches will swing heavier but fairly balanced. Want to launch as a 4 man of lights? You can. And you no longer can expect exactly what's coming at you. Everybody wins!

It told me a light mech was the best bet for a game with 21%.
Solo player, 10 mins, cancel, 10 mins cancel then came here to find I'm not the only one experiencing this.
19:40 GMT (I'm not sure what that makes it in EDT PDT)

I think matchmaking is actually not in the spirit of Battletech in the merc corps. Commanders never know what will or will not drop onto the battlefield. Having random assortments of mechs was fine with me. Some games were overloaded but so what? At least we got to play... losing sometimes builds character and makes you want to become more proficient.

This forced 3/3/3/3 is NOT in the spirit of Battletech and I personally do not want it.

Ok this is not going work for me 10- to 15 min wait really kill the game for me. I try light med and heavy and about the same wait 10- 15 min CDA 3m JM-DD and Raven 3L are my mechs thank for reading this, now if you can speed you the wait time too like 30 sec to a min I'll be good.

Hello Devs,

I have been playing for awhile now. Seen many changes, never complained.

Even when LRMs where overkill, I at least compensated by using LRMs myself.

But this 3/3/3/3 is something to complain about. We are wasting time waiting for a game. This is a game killer. Letting a user wait (whether in line at a store, in the phone for tech support, for basically anything is a business killer).

Please take out 3/3/3/3. I can deal with super LRMS, super POP-tarts, super whatever. I just want to play the game. This 3/3/3/3 is preventing me from playing this game.

I'm not sure how did you come to this "Successfully enabled" conclusion, but I can assure you it was not. Wait times are absolutely ridiculous, and so far I haven't been able to join a single match, attempting any game mode. This is not acceptable. You have to start doing some serious QA with this game. There are external companies that can handle it.

Ok 2nd match solo on the recommended light got to 10min and then I gave up as clearly the matchmaker had lost me and I was in limbo

so now the PUGS need to put up with 8 mans?

tried a light and waited 10 minutes and couldn't get in.

and I'm all balance, but as others have said, I just want to play the game....

3/3/3/3 as a basis is a good idea but you NEED to open it up for the matchmaker to make changes to the load out in order to get people into games quicker.

Of course, if this game had better scouting and role warfare, you could get better info faster on the enemy composition and what to do about it... and yet, we still don't even have markers on the map to tell us which side we start on while waiting for a match to being... *sigh*

I like this game, but come on... breaking the match-maker completely twice in a month, more and more bugs creeping back in (disconnects no longer count as dead, the "Ready" button no longer displays correctly when pressed), and lazily added features (turning off film grain and cockpit glass by mucking with config files vs. using in-game options), and it seems we've done nothing but slide backwards for several months now. It is depressing.

I find it really funny that people think it's the idea behind 3/3/3/3 that's causing the problems. Not PGI's bugs.

3-4PM EST , light mech, solo. First try over 5 min to find a match. Second try almost 20 min I think.
