Finally got a match after 25 minutes. Wrong game mode (I selected Conquest and got Skirmish). My team got stomped.

Working as intended ™

31 minutes and counting for my solo-drop medium - "fast weight class to launch." Thankfully, the stupid thing can waste time in the back, behind other windows... I could have played at least 2 full MWO games to conclusion by now - even more than that in most cases - and even if I were stomped half the time and did the stomping the other half of the time, I'd still be happier than playing Mech Wait Online.

I average 5 minutes of waiting per match at the moment. Current search is at 12 minutes and counting. This is unacceptable. All my tries were with a Griffin.

Solo droping in a light, <3 minutes to nab a drop. Funny I always thought that medium was going to be the under represented class. Not light.

I have been able to play one match since the patch went live. The rest of the time I've been searching for a game, even when the nice little elf said that I would find a game faster if I played a light I still haven't dropped into a match.

Just perfect - 1 hour and no game at all. took the least selected class.. waitet 10+ mins and canceld. i want to PLAY a game, not to wait the fu whole day. as somebody else said - stop that BS that didnt worked last time you tried and never will. and btw, IMHO that funny UI 2.0 is useless and timeconsuming-without-benefit too.

Sorry, 3-3-3-3 was and will allways be a terrible idea. Why? It forces players to play mech-classes they don't want to play - not everybody likes to play a light for example. And how should this work afterall if there is a serious overhead of a specific mech-class - like 1000 lights, 500 mediums, 2000 heavies and 2500 assaults - this will allways result in a situation where people have to wait endless to get into games. The only way to avoid that would be to change to other classes and hope for the best.

The only reasonable way to avaid inbalances between teams is -> wait till all or allmost all players are assigned to a game and then distribute them to the 2 teams according to there classes and weight like - oh we have 8 assualts 6 heavies 4 mediums and 6 lights - lets to 4-3-2-3. (off course if a premade joins this should be taken into account also, no reason to split them up)

tried to enter a public with assaults, first try 10 min+ before canceld, second try 5min+ before canceld, also tried a medium - 5+ min before canceld, tried it with heavy - 5+ minutes before canceld.

ps. Guess I never understand - but why even try to force people to do something in a game which they don't want to - its a game and should be fun - when its not fun people stop playing.

pps. you know MWO is a F2P

I agree.. I want to use ONE or two mechs most of the time and become proficient in those. I do not want to be playing twenty different mech variants and have to try and adapt my reflexes, tactics, weapons use and so forth all the time. In normal Battletech you have ONE mech you live with. And if you lose it you become 'dispossessed' and only get another if you are lucky to be offered one from a house or merc unit.

Still not ge3tting into any matches, any type, any mech.

On the plus side, I think all this waiting has caused my hair to start growing. Which is a minor miracle since I lost most of it years ago. ;)

Shouldn't it find matches for groups last after the majority of players have found one? In any case, it looks like a lot of us will have to find something else to play for 2 weeks until they get the 1 premade per side working. Better yet, they should just have a premade-free, PUG-only queue alongside an unrestricted premade queue that PUGs could join if they wanted.

Easier to take larger parts and fit smaller chunks around it.

Probably caused by people hoping that Mediums will get them a match, so now everyone swings over to mediums, overloading the match-maker, and so on.

I wonder if the percentage of people in a weight class is just the people IN matches, or does it also count the people who are WAITING for matches? Either way, people cancelling out and trying again and again with varying weight classes out of sheer frustration may also be mucking up what is left of the match-maker.

Or, you could pay my plane ticket and a hotel for a few nights up there, and I'll fix the damn MM for ya. My rates are reasonable.

Precisely. Ping-ponging between mechs and weight-classes only kills what little roleplaying this game has. It would be cool to be notorious for playing well in a given chassis, whatever it may be, just because it suits you well. Also, we need to face facts - not all weight classes are right for all people. I'm getting old enough that twitchy light mechs are more in my past vs. my future, while a teen might hate the lumbering nature of assault mechs. It's better to provide options and make them all fun and playable vs. straight-jacketing the game and, in the process, blowing the match-maker out of the water.
