I'm not gonna sit here and say PGI is doing a perfect job by any means (I still don't understand why the scaling heat cap and ghost heat are even things when better solutions exist, just for an example), but the game is not garbage. If you think it is, please stop torturing yourself by doing something you hate, you're worth more than that. If you don't actually think it is, why are you trying to leg the people making the thing?
I swear, I'm absolutely fishcheese insane and I still make more sense than most of what's been posted on this thread.

Also, make sure to drop an airstrike right around the corner so they are blinded by smoke as they come charging around, then have no choice but to keep going forward into your teammates crossfire. If they start backing up (which is a pretty understandable reflex) they and anyone behind them will eat AIRSTRIKE in addition to 11 alpha strikes!

I don't expect most people will have enough patience to do this, but the best thing that the player base could do is show PGI what they think of gold mechs, after PGI has continually lied about the game:
Every time a gold mech launches, both teams could have "technical difficulties" except for a couple who would become gold mech wreckers. Then the wreckers could go kill the gold mech and return to spawn, without shooting any of the mechs having technical difficulties. Once all the techinical difficulties were resolved, the match could play out as normal.
