Not reading the entire thread is obviously an issue at this point, because tryhards have tried to bury this thread in petty insults and memes to hide the truth. I'm not looking for followers, and this isn't a popularity contest because I knew going harpooning for whales wasn't going to be easy, but you might as well call me Standard Oil at this point son.

I gloss over and try to ignore the insults and goading, when it's just a sea of that in a thread, I lose interest in reading further.

I'd rather try to be constructive and at least be as lighthearted as possible, since we all are basically in similar situations, waiting for MWO to be developed further.

Uhm, no. Did they care for "their" community anyway? They delivered singleplayer games and that's it. When the games were, basicaly they were done.

We had to endure MW3s netcode from start to end. It was really funny to aim 2 to 4 mechlengths before enemys and use the force to guess possible changes of direction.

And MW4 had the same Jumpsnipers and not more mechs or maps then MWO, when it was released. Did they give us more? Did they ask anyone about their opinion? Nope. The good things in MW4 were created by the community, especially MekTek, without any "officials" doing anything.

I could have swore I made this observation already but perhaps I typed and didn't press enter.

The OP makes three false assumptions in his theory
1 - all meta players are tryhards
2 - all tryhards are d-bags
3 - all in-game d-bags are tryhards.

And those observations can be mixed and matched.

There's a meta in every successful game. There's d-bags in every successful game. There's tryhards in every successful game. Yet there are still successful MMO/e-sport/MOBA/FPS, etc. games despite these shortcomings. What sets MWO apart is it's severe learning curve, and its stale development path.
