Months ago it was at 93% for phase 1 rewards. Today its at 95% for phase 2 rewards.
OP: The best deal was the uller package back when this whole thing started. Free premium time and all. Right now though, maybe pick up an a la carte mech as a b-day present. The second set of 4 won't be out for a while.....

Think about ur house bill, car payment and other more important RL things and you might not have any issues.....

It's non-transparent how that thing is calculated, you have no idea if they're just using it as bait tool to sell more packages or if it's honestly tied to a sales counter.

Agreed. There is always the "Tin Foil Hat" version of everything.

Face it. Your weak and Mechs are Cool, even Digital ones. One never knows when the "wife" will give the "go for it" again right?
Don't ever piss away those great "wife subsidized" chances man. Compared to those, Golds Mechs are abundant. LOL!

last time, i did a mouse-hover over the phase I/II on the clanpreorder page and i'm sure as hell i saw some text with something along the line "till 16(17?) June".
On a sidenote: your wife is okay with you buying useless stuff (like digital overpriced rompy stompy robots) and even encouraged youto do so if it's going to make you happy?
you wifed well, friend.

This guy, lol. Important stuff lol. Who does he think you are, some house husband. No your a ******* Mechwarrior buy the damn pack. That is important.
I did buy the top pack and do not regret it at all. For two reasons. I don't have a lot of time to grind for c-bills and the extras I got. Especially the extra premium time.
P.S. I am a house husband.

Son if the wife has given you her consent, you would be a fool to let slip that golden approval.

The answer is: if you have X dollars to waste (and yes I mean waste, if you don't have X dollars literally to waste then you should not be spending X on entertainment) and feel that you would get an equal amount of enjoyment to your monetary investment or greater, then you could buy them - or some other entertainment of X dollars of value.
In all other scenarios you should definitely not.

I will say this, though... PGI had better be very, very careful with Clan weapon balance, or this has all the makings of a disaster. I can already imagine Clan Mechs vaporizing each other and Inner Sphere Mechs with devastating pin-point alpha strikes. They will be able to shoe-horn some very nasty combinations, and with the way the game core mechanics are set up, I have a feeling the game will become very repetitive and boring in short order for Clan and Inner Sphere players alike. One-shotting an opponent is fun the first few times you do it, but after that... the lack of challenge will weed out all but the most loyal to the franchise.
