If a high percentage of your consumers are not satisfied with your product, do you try to satisfy them or ignore them? I am a designer myself and know very well how it feels for a designer to have ones work shot down. I know how it feels to sit there and hear that my work is not up to par, but I "Keep Calm and Design on" instead.
It is always a challenge to make something that "everyone" likes. With that said, I also know how good it feels when the majority lets me know that they are happy with what I have made.
I have been rather outspoken against the new logos because in my eyes (and many others apparently) they do not fit with the feel of the game nor the established lore that PGI is following. We let them do what they wanted to do at first and the majority was not happy. Just because you can make something look "new" does not mean that it will be better that way. Sometimes, something old and established works just as well. FedEx is a good example, as is Coca Cola.

I think its more about "why change it?" when it comes to well known iconic emblems. I voted for the new-old-look but thats very likely because thats how I got to know the clans /shrug. Would I throw a hissyfit over the new ones? Nah, I dont think its important enough to warrant time on PGIs part right now, a week before Clan release, to redesign it but on the other hand it likely took five minutes to copy in the old emblems onto the flag background.

I bet you only 1 in 10 people who are actually going to use either the Falcon or the Jaguar voted for the "classic" logos.

The one that bothers me the most is probable Ghost Bear`s because it is not recognizable unless it`s huge.
Exactly. Classic faction logos were designed to be painted on miniatures and be instantly reconizable. They look better small / seen at a distance then the new logos, and as such will look better in-game; both on the leaderboard, and on our mechs (if PGI ever gets around to giving us decals).

And smoke Jaguar would look nice if it didn't just look like a black panther now, i think the whole idea behind the old jaguar was it actually looked smokey....

Classic Wolf is just hands-down better in every way. The modern one has a silly expression, and the contrast does it no favours. Definitely lose the visible eye; the shadowed socket conveyed personality and style, whereas the eye just creates a silly expression.
But modern Falcon is much better than the classic, improving on the fuzzy blandness of the original while keeping the feel. The whole look yells "We Are Falcon!" at me - well done.
Modern bear tries too hard for realistic bear proportions, costing it expression - logos are stylised for a reason. But the idea is sound, it just needs work.
Smoke Jaguar is a toss-up - the line and style of the new one are better, but I'd like to see it in darker greys rather than black. The original takes "smoke" too literally, but the new one loses it entirely - it would benefit from finding a space in between the two.
If I have to choose a group, I have to go with classic. But I'd prefer to see another round of improvements on the modern - take another pass at Wolf from scratch, and tweak the rest.

The gray and blue are kind of similar for the top two at first glance. Obviously if you look at it closer you can spot differences, but I feel like there should be distinct coloring. I like the black coloring of the jaguar with yellow claws/teeth.
The solution here is avoiding the lazy path and design simplified and adapted versions for smaller representations, where cropping is essential to make the significant elements such as the animal and colors, stand out. Here's a quick example:

The new Ghostbear does suck, not just the head, the background isn't blue enough.
The new Jade Falcon is.. freakin' cool.
At first, I didn't like the new wolf, but looking at it next to the old one, I like it better. The old one looks stuffed, the new one looks Vicious.
The new Smoke Jaguar isn't amazing or anything. The old one was just goofy.
