Whats going on with the clan release schedule and why is the first clan mech seen in lore one of the last to be introduced?

Can only assume it gives them time to try and iron out clan bugs before the all hail the fabled timberwolf is released.

So why is it gonna take them 5 months to release 8 mechs when after yesterdays pts we've established that the design phase is pretty much done bar a few tweaks.

Umm... because it is the chassis most people want, also the second largest pack. The longer they keep it for purchase, the better chances people will break down and buy a Clan pack or a Timber Wolf ala cart... It is a business, and they do need/want/deserve to make money.

This has nothing to do with Battletech Fluff or lore... it has to do with money. It is 100% legit and makes complete sense on how they did it.

I would have preferred they dropped one of each weight class at first, then one a month after. But in the end they will all be available for Cbills eventually.

At least it isn't 6 months like they did it for Phoenix packages with 1 month per mech!

The forum surats need a reason to whine until december, so not "giving" them the clan tech they supposedly despise so much until then is a great way to do that.. 6 months of unfounded P2W whining will almost certainly make them sell like hotcakes when eventually released for MC :D

PGI is going by lore , the IS didn't have clan mechs till late in the invasion. So if you don't have a clan mech now you are playing as a IS pilot, you will get then later but not before you nearly destroy your lot in space. A Battletech conspiracy theory says that clan diamond shark merchants sold the IS clan mechs and weapons. So maybe PGI is CDS lol

I hope PGI REALLY goes by lore and allows Star League Descendant Mechs to ONLY fight on the clan side in CW......

Because preaching to most of us that you want a Timber Wolf simply because you're a fan of the Mech isn't going to net you a positive response.

Then what the **** was the point? If you are rolling to back to 3050 everyone that was flying the IS banner proudly since the official beta should NOT have any Clan mechs. If you are going to do that then bring the timeline up considerably like what MW3 did. Give them their Bushwackers & Avatars & the like.

I should not be invading a Successor State in 3050 & see the Donegal Guards with a Timberwolf. Come on PGI, YOU said you wanted to put it back to the beginning of the invasion. Make it right. How many balls can you drop ffs?
