I would have thought the Devastator was on its way, what with the ISN New Flash hint.

To everyone requesting Timber Wolves (Mad Cat) and Daishi's, remember, the Clan's haven't invaded yet. The IS has no clue about Omnimechs, Clan tech, and all that, so those definitely won't be in the game (yet).

I'd like to see the Marauder or Marauder II, or perhaps the Stone Rhino (Behemoth). The Behemoth wasn't reseen by the IS until the Clanners invaded, but they did know of it's existence since it was originally created to stop Kerensky.

Also, the Urbie, just because. Too bad Paul's still being a bit of a party pooper. :)

I don't expect these mechs::
Assualt mech: 85 tons = Stalker (Basically a weapons platform but also a huge target)
Light mech: 30 tons = Javelin (missle dependent)
Medium mech: 55 tons = Scorpion (four legged but quick. would work differently than other mechs. a design challenge)

Really good post right up to the end part. . . the Stalker is already in:

For me, I expect the Orion, but since the last 3 mechs really surprised me, I don't hold too much on my predictions any more.

A Thug would be awesome.

A Thug would be a little too similar to an Awesome, sadly, so I doubt we'll see it soon.

We have an Atlas, Awesome, and Stalker for assaults, Dragon, Catapault and Cataphract for heavies, Centurion, Hunchback, and Trebuchet for mediums, Commando, Cicada, Jenner, and Raven for lights.

I'm betting that we'll see another medium or a heavy. Either the Vindicator or the Orion would be my bets.

I am reading through the Battletech novels again and I would like to see the classics. A Warhammer and an Archer... a Battlemaster.

I also like seeing people showing love for the Black Knight. Mechwarrior 4 didn't seem to do that mech justice....

@Yuba Frank
Sorry to nitpick but the Cicada is a medium mech for all that it is an overgrown Locust

Firestarter, Orion and Victor, calling it now (though Banshee and Grasshopper are solid bets, too, and the Jaegermech is both unique and has a distinctive design).

If I can't have a Mad Cat, Kodiak or Warhawk because the timeline is pre clan, can I at least get a Victor in the house?

Wolfhound would be a nice addition. Seeing how they redesign the Orion would be cool thou.

Hmm, I'd say Assassin, as it's middle of the road with lots of options, but there are too few available variant options for them to capitalize on.

$5.00 gets you a marauder, or warhammer or archer, with 2.50 going to harmony gold. i say why not sell the unseen the harmoney gets something and the die hard unseen fans get something?

but i will have to vote once again on the 80 ton Victor being the next mech. i mean a jump capable assault mech whats not to love?

as far as i know the clans are busy in the periphery in august, they wont hit us till sometime after that. Im sure if you ask the clan nicely they will let you have a mad cat.

On this topic, have you noticed that the year will be 3049 at the time of launch. If I'm not mistaken, the clan invasion began in late 3049 according to canon.
