Assuming the next mech won't be a medium I think Wolfhound, Highlander or Black Knight.

Marauder or Warhammer would be nice. I want some PPCs in the field already.

I'm thinking lights next so Wolfhound, Firestarter, Flea, or Spider.
I'd PREFER an unseen but I'm not going to hold my breath.

well the mauler and couple others would not come out until the clan invasion started so I doubt you will se them right away, I believe a orion or something smaller would be next since the assualt mechs were rare for a while due to lost production issues wit hthe tech by the end of 4 war.

The Mauler is out as a launch mech, it does not even see testing until 3050 - unless you want it to be in the game as the Daboku injoke-mech.

Since I'm apparently on a roll:

http://mwomercs.com/...380#entry344380

I'm torn a bit - I think we'll get another Heavy, but it's a tough pick between strong options: the Orion, the Guillotine, the Grasshopper, or the Flashman.
Both the Orion and Flashman are strong "workhorse" designs, not really specialized for any role, but not bad at anything either. The Grasshopper and Guillotine are great brawlers with jump capability and good armor, and while the heavy class has several jump-capable 'mechs, it doesn't have any real brawlers so far.
Variant breakdown (2750-3050):
Orion: 5 (ON1-K, ON1-V, ON1-VA, ON1-M, ON2-M)
Flashman: 2 (FLS-7K, FLS-8K)
Guillotine: 4 (GLT-3N, GLT-4L, GLT-4P, GLT-5M)
Grasshopper: 4 (GHR-5H, GHR-5N, GHR-5J, GHR-6K)
I suppose the Black Knight can't be entirely discounted either:
Black Knight: 4 (BL-6-KNT, BL-6b-KNT, BL-7-KNT, BL-7-KNT-L)
But I think it's unlikely, being both canonically rare and having thin armor. The Heavies are really lacking a design that can take hits.
Of these, none really shows that much of a change in hardpoint configuration, though, so there isn't a really clear stand-out.
Of what we have so far:
Dragon: fast skirmisher with variety of long range weapon systems
Catapult: fire support, missile boat and PPC boat variants, some jump-capable
Cataphract: direct fire support and skirmishing, some variants jump capable
I'm going to say the Orion, with the Guillotine as a runner-up option. I think the Orion is a little more likely, being better armored, but I like the Guillotine as a true brawler. The Flashman would be cool to see, to, as it's long been one of my favorites, but I don't think there's a lot to recommend it over the Orion for performing basically the same role.

Id still like to see a Highlander or a Banshee on the assault side. But. hummm Light.....ummm id say Panther. Medium... Wolverine or Shadow Hawk. Heavy class. ummm Orion.

As much as I would pee my pants like an overexcited dog for the Mauler it doesn't really see action until just before the Clans arrive.
The Highlander would be a better choice imo for the assaults. For a Heavy I would like to see a Jagermech or <insert reseen here>.
For the light my heart says Urbie but brain says Panther.

Fourteen is my lucky number, so here is to hoping for an amazing re-design of a solid heavy or assault.

I would put money on the locust being one of the next two mechs they release.
