Nova: An Useless Mech?
#1

For me the Nova seems an useless mech.
Speed: 81 kmh - the same of Heavy Summoner and Timberwolf.
the Stormcrow runs over 90 kmh
So no hit and run tactics.
Weapins and ammo: it's a 50 ton medium.
Only scout mechs are weaker.
What is this mech good for? only hunt on IS mechs?
Note: i like the B version (6 lasers and 4 (four!) MGs,
but i can't see an useful tactic for him.
Thks

Play escort to the heavies and focus fire on whatever they do. You're not fast enough to chase lights but you can deter them.

The Nova is a medium, and an excellent medium. Just don't expect it to do what Heavies do.

His play was devastating. That Nova build makes me want to think about getting it, to be perfectly honest.

II changed my prime to 6 ml 6 sl. It wrecks everything. If you think the nova sucks, you're doing something very wron
---------------------------------------------------
that was the first problem, overheating even in winter maps. Actually 3 per arm and 6 more double hs.

That was my original doubt: the stormcrow is faster and can hunt scout mechs.

have to try this one
12 Small Laser (ER Small Laser) and 4 Machine Gun[/color]
---------------------------------------------------------------------
that is ok in a fast scout mech, as locust or spider.
But this medium can't run!
Thks to all!

Which brings me to the point about the Nova, try running in each arm, 1 ML, 1 MPL, 1 LL, 1 LPL and THEN group firing them. Cuz, there wouldnt be any Ghostheat since your not firing the same gun. Or else 3 of each ML and MPL.

Ghost Heat:

2 ER lrg laser and 2 lrg pulse laser will cause ghost heat

How the hell do you post images on here? I think I know the match you were referring to... 8 kills, 1000+ damage and I barely had a scratch on me. Anyways, Yeah, it was fun... I think the Nova`s secret is out now though; people are focusing them down as if they were boom Jagers.

You need to host them on Imgur or some other website. Then you copy the link they give you and post here using the IMG tag.
Also, I run 12 ER Small Lasers and Quad machineguns, it rips limbs off of anything it meets. It is however, a very close range brawler.

Again, this is just from looking at it on paper, but Nova's seem viable.
