Well yeah, obv 150MC bays would be better, and I'd likely buy another 3kMC just for it, but I'd still be happy with 210.

I'm down to 3,287MC and after these next 5 mechs - 2 Mech Bays!...
Waiting for a Firebrand to be on sale...
then I'm out of saleMC and will either have to pony up for more or hold out for another MCsale....
Then it's either selling some variants (possible, but I don't like to), or getting more.

I'm thinking now is a good time to buy my Jenner K back. Now that we have a lot of modules and srms are doing pretty well I think it's a good time to pick one up.


I never really wanted an Atlas but, I think at these prices I could afford to try one out. None of the clan makes really look interesting to me at this point so this sale is awesome. I might even grab the other 2 hunchies I don't have to try new builds.

How much can you get for selling that Atlas Chasis? Is it worth it to just get the Atlas, rip out the engine, and then sell the frame?

It's not a lot actually.. it's just somewhere around 2m for just the chassis to be sold.

XL300 costs 4.9m to buy... buying the Atlas-K that's on sale will cost you 6,845,533 C-bills.

The Jenner however is actually cheaper than the cost to buy the engine it has.

STD245 costs 1,502,633 C-bills to buy. The most "expensive" C-bill Jenner (Jenner-K) sale value is 1,569,852 C-bills.... which is 67219 C-bills more.

Jenners could never been priced so sweetly really... especially if you want to fill your mechbays with an iconic Light mech in MWO for the price of a STD 245 engine.

Not really.
Great sale, great mechs.
The Jenner is ever popular and still dealing plenty of damage on the field.
The Hunchy is the Hunchy and still capable of putting out some hurt.
The Catapult is great, a nice all-rounder and solid missile boat.
And the Atlas, is the friggin Atlas.

The stuff on the Atlas buys in at around 7.4 million, so if you buy the Atlas K, then sell on the frame, you get an XL, Gauss Rifle, 2 ER Large Lasers, 2 M.Pulse Lasers, 1 LRM20, 10 Heatsinks and assorted ammo + armour points, for around 3.8 millions C-Bills after you sell the frame.

I'm not in a position to take much advantage of it (Been tempted to try Hunchies at some point though), as I want to make the most of my PT day, and won't be able to till next week, but it's greatly appreciated. Why would I buy old mechs, as Clans are coming?

PGI offers 50% on old mech price now, because very soon, nobody will bother with them.
Nice try to make ppl spend their MC/CBills remaining. They ll have to repay for Clans Mechs.

I lose more matches to IS chassis than I do to clans - especially those 4.

Clan mechs have higher stats on-paper, but the increase beam durations, burst fire AC's and poor hitboxes make them take more skill than the IS equivalents (even the Hunch's hunch is easier to protect than most of the clan mechs anything)

Most pilots do not have those skills - so the IS chassis will be around (and functionally competitive) for a while longer

I wasn't planning to buy any new mechs until the Clan mechs became available for cbills. This sale combined with the free day of premium and free mech bay induced me to buy 6 mechs with the addition of a good chunk of newly ground-out cbills and some sold equipment revenue . Thanks PGI.

With all of the talk about relative buy/sell values - I have a simple question:

- If I buy a few of these, can I resell them for the same amount of CBills?

Of course, I'd still have to but in 1.5m for the double heat-sinks... But I'm curious if I can reconsider and successfully sell chassis. This way I could fill all of my mechbays before the 25th and then sell back the ones I don't want.

Means I don't have to choose until it comes time to fit the DHS...
