It would be nice to be able to run more than 1 weapon module so I could get Gauss cycle time AND CERML range boost but I can definitely live with it as is.

The best build i have is probably gauss+5 ERML. it's the sweet spot for damage, and with the low heat & great heat efficiency, it's actually pretty good at brawling distance(under 400m)
It's now my go-to tryhard build, it's very easy to do well with it considering that i can do 4alphas consequently without overheating, and it only takes 4secs or so to cool down and reach 62heat to fire another alpha.

Do not use this build in higher ELO games where they go for legs. 40 armor is squishy leg time.
use the bottom one instead.

Laser vomit is the pug carrier, the SRM brawler is the meta while the gauss+erml is the build in between.

I took my TBR-C and removed the 4 C-ERML and replaced them with pulse lasers, had to drop two heatsinks. Seems fun sof ar.

I try this: TBR-C
And liked it. Decent mid-range fighter, decent heat efficient, good pinpoint damage. And some additional punch from 2srm6a in close range. And weapon of surprize - 2mg - obliterates components, when medpulses and srms destroy armor.
Now I want to try this build to increase engagement range: TBR-C

I'm currently running my TBR-S (I think it's -S variant anyway. I have so many different omni-pods now... lol) w/ 2 MPLS in each arm & one in each of the three torso's. It runs a bit on the warm side, but grouping each arm & the torso's seperately mitigates this to a degree. I also habe the MPLS cooldown & range mods.
Works out nicely. I'm considering removing the 7th MPLS in the CT for a TC mk I, but haven't decided yet.

You must be running the -C then for the CT laser point but have the -S RT for its energy hardpoint.

This build is capable of maintaining a 5+ K/D and a ~2 W/L in the solo and group queues. Although there are, of course, better Mad Cat builds, I recommend this one to anyone who is looking for an effective build which keeps one missile racks on each shoulder, for the look. I can't discover a more effective build which doesn't either add or remove a launcher or two. (If there is one, I'd love to know about it!)

2x ERPPC(paired in arm), 2x LRM10's, 3x ERSL, BAP, and TC mk.1
Ammo and Heat Sink to taste.
I've been using this as my first drop in CW. Did well in a normal PUG today. It's not the meta 2x ERPPC/Gauss build. I like the lasers vs lights in my face. The LRM's are nice when I am cored and want to sand blast someone from just behind a hill.

sat on blocks in my mechyard for weeks.
Keep all those weapons, amass more
run what feels good for the time being.
3 ac2's, lerm boat.
why restrict your self to ONE build. I DO leave the prime nearly stock, its just too perfect. But the C?
the TBR-C stands for change. One of my favorite mechs for versatility.
I did have a blast with balanced armor- i.e. not front loaded, SMPL's, MG's, Streak6's.....hang back and quite literally terrorize any and all lights that came around. If I lived to end of game, clean up was stunningly easy. I find myself going back to that in pugs for giggles.

I was too used to IS lasers and their low heat by now so no laservomits for me anymore.
TBR-PRIME
But I actually built this on the C variant, my prime is nearly stock, minor tweaks..no clue why it does as well as it does.
