And the sad part is that it looks like it was a pretty mediocre match.
Even in a bad match I generally get a kill and a couple hundred damage in the YLW. Like anyone, I do sometimes get those matches where I get unceremoniously stomped into the ground, the only damage gotten off a wild Alpha that may or may not have connected with anything. But those are pretty rare in the YLW. And I'm pretty mediocre at this game. If you don't get fairly consistent good results from the YLW than you are doing something VERY wrong.

I always XL 300 with mine, since once that arm's gone you're not going to be all that effective with only 2 lasers. I think it's better to focus on protecting that arm than preparing for the backup plan.
That said, I have a lot more fun AC20ing in Blackjacks and Shadowhawks.

my current pug wang
If the new quirk system plays out for the Wang like I suspect, I may want to put something stock+ "ish" back into it.
Though, I would probably better appreciate a 3050 update with one ballistic and 3 energy.
I may also go back and re-test my old "baby-ilya" "Yen-Lo-Iyla" build

Regardless, it will all look much better with the dynamic hardpoint art.

There are no realy relevant IS medium Mech builds atm imo
Its just Nova, Stormcrow and Timberwolf dominatin every game where they apear and are piloted by an at least averange pilot. A Nova or stormcrow pilot that looses one on one against a Centurion is either drunk or beginner level.
I dont agree about the nova. That sucker is simply an over heating pig. Destroyed one the other night when he over heated.

-Smaller Profile
-1 more Medium Laser while still being heat efficient
-About 31 (i think) ammunition for AC20
-Still decently fast
-High Mounted wrapons

Once I get Speed Tweak and the double basic bonuses it will be a death machine. I run a lot of AC-20 mechs too so I'll eventually pick up the AC-20 cooldown, which will be very nice.
The speed of an XL trumps the zombie capability. You're not going to win many games with 2 ML in a 70Kph chassis if you lose a torso.

Anything with a AC20 still can go up against these builds if you get into close range. Laser vomits builds and even the Clan UAC-20's are not so great in brawls. Lots of damage but its spread all over the place.
My Blackjacks (all 3), Griffins (all 3), Yen-Lo and Shadowhawks all still kick the crap outta Clam mechs.

and i find a problem with yours....AC20's at range are worthless. I can dodge them if i see them coming....same with UAC20's from the clam mechs same with PPC's.

I enjoy piloting both Blackjacks and Centurions and while the BJ-1(C) and similar AC20 builds do beat the centurion if they stay under cover. If I am caught in open ground or have to approach the enemy without cover I would rather be in a CN9 due to added survivability from twisting so my left arm takes fire.
Right now SRM+artemis seems much more viable then AC20s for IS medium mechs though. The CN9-AH which is coming can go SRM or AC so if there are more weapon tweaks.....

that is because you are used to playing a hill popping game. Cents are played totally different.

You're probably right yeah. I'm just thinking in terms of base firepower. Nonetheless, I'm sure I'll still have fun mastering my CN9-AH today, and it'll probably encourage me to get the rest of the Cents

Best thing about playing Cents,,,they teach you how to twist. My record was 17% hp left with no arms and one leg but still fighting. Surprisingly, that was with an XL as well. Everything was red. Ive seen them as low as 12%..STD though.
