Only minor gripe about the wang is the hardpoints, one more energy would`nt hurt, otherwise its a great mech, just protect the right arm and pack plenty of ammo for the boomstick.I have 38 AC20 shots or 45 gauss shots in mine

People put XLs in their YLW?!?

I run an XL 275 without any issues. I figure that, since the YLW is built around that AC/20, once you lose it, your functionality is basically gone. While you can still fight with those MLs in the CT, you're basically a really big, low damage output target at that point. So, I stuffed the XL in my YLW, which enables me to pack on extra ammo and two MPLs in lieu of the MLs. It makes for a seriously bad news YLW.

...And yes, the YLW is still relevant. Check out some of my vids:

For the same tonnage you can get an 280XL, though I understand using the 275 to save c-bills if you had one lingering about. I use a 300XL, and have also gotten great results from it. The speed buys as much survivability as you lose with the XL, plus better positioning options.

With how much damage Clanners can take and dish out, there is no reason not to run XLs. You need the extra tonnage for weapons and ammo.

Yeah, the cost issues are what made me go with the 275. I may change it down the road once if I ever find myself with excess mad money.

Be nice if the new YLW quirks worked equally on AC20 and Gauss; that would make it different than the H

It's my understanding that the AH won't have energy hardpoints, but missile instead, and a lower engine cap.
