My Ember with 5x JJs got buffed. It goes about 13m higher now.

If you were only running 1JJ on your lights before it's a good thing they are less effective. That 1JJ was even workable was stupid.

This is because they nerfed the HGN right into the ground thanks to the 733C metarapers. Class I JJ's have double the tonnage of Class II yet provide less than half the boost. I wish PGI would revisit these issues.

The value should not be linear IMO.

For instance. TW:

1- 2.5m
2- 6m
3- 10m
4- 18m

1 JJ isn't really viable anymore. My 5ML Jenner with 3 JJs isn't that bad though.

Yesterday had one of those "launch my Summoner from one side of the canyon to another while getting the kill on the mech below me" moments. I hope we don't loose those. I love those.

I'd be okay if they followed this formula:

H=C*[1/2^(M-E)]

Where H is the height, c is a constant (in this case max height), M is the max amount of jj's that can be equipped and E is the actual amount of equipped jump jets.

After playing a couple of my mechs with JJ I am okay with the change. My Jenner with 3JJ couldn't get quite as high but it still was fine. I think that the 1JJ builds and some individual mechs got hit hard but in general if you allocate space/tons for JJ it seems fine.

I can't mount more than 3, which makes it very sad. Though it can still pop enough, and the heat doesn't stop the 45 PP FLD.

Though, it's still a sad day for it.

TBH, I disagree.

For instance, I run 3 JJs on the 3D, and prior to the patch, it had minimal problems getting up to the Citadel from the water (I'm talking about the D3 side). Post-patch, I need to use the unflooded platform to get the necessary lift. 4 seems to do the trick, but it's a clear nerf.

For the Victor, 4 JJs were more than enough prior to the patch. Now, it's getting "tight" to say the least to get there.

Prior to the patch, 2 JJs on a LIght (Jenner+Firestarter) were enough to clear the the platform. Now, it's "tight".

Overall, it's a nerf. Don't let the mechlab figures fool you. Contextual distance matters.

I just played a few rounds in my Jenner with 5 out of 6 possible jump jets. Performance subjectively was good. It seemed to me that duration was increased or at least it seemed as if I could go farther for a full use of jump jets. I haven't tested any other jump jet mechs or the effect of equipping a single jump jet.

First impression from comments above would be that mechs with fewer jump jets were nerfed while those with the full complement or close to it were buffed (at least for lights) ... not sure about other weight classes.
