It was more like, "****, what did you just tell them? You'd better hold my beer."

We were Fatlassing it up, and I think I did OK, but he rocked.

Reminds me of my first 8 kill game.

I just find it ironic that groups used to respond to PUG complaints in the forums with 'L2P' or 'It's a team game, get on coms and make a team', and now the proposed solution is - 'it's too hard we want to go back to [the advantage we have in] PUGs' instead of their previous solutions.

I'm saying, as a PUG, that if the opponents have a 2 man or a 3 man, I have no problem with it. I am not asking for it to happen, I am already fine fighting the odds suggested as a solo player. Groups 4 and up send 'em to the group Que. What next the enemy team can only have 10 Mechs to our 12? They can't have Assaults? When will the cut down stop??

You're going to run into a lot of opposition to this idea. I'm not terribly sure why, since we've already proven that the Premade Boogeyman wasn't to blame for PuG Stomps. A group of two on either side isn't going to make or break solo games.

Interesting, how was that proven? Since pre-mades were separated from the solo queue there's been much less stomping, and even 12-0 losses aren't as one-sided as they used to be.

You're right. I thought younger players were supposed to be better than us old folk. And as such would not fear a challenge. I guess that just isn't true. :D

Void, remember when we were two-manning last week and I told our team, "You all are about to get carried," then you got something ridiculous like 6 kills?

Lucyyy - the more I see you poppin' round the forums the more I miss the good old times(or otherwise said - the sadly-few games we had together) when the two of us were pretty much killing the whole enemy team :o
I'm at vacation at the moment - sea and sand and that kinda stuff - but when I get back I'll be happy to pair up again.
Anyways it could be me but I swear it - I experienced some really weird and disheartening sheet with the matchmaker(before the last update and explanation incoming) - and after the last update tbh I am kinda afraid to try once more two man group :D
And for whoever know me and how I got a tension toward getting in insane situations(hey... it kinda comes natural - you know....) and how much I just can not care...
I don't know - I really don't think I'm quite competent toward the current MM state - but if there's still the chance for a 2 man to drop in a game against 8 and 10 man - thanks but no thanks.
Btw my rage against this touchy subject comes entirely from the fact that I recently hooked up a co-worker and he's really, really new to the game but the sad tale is that this happened 2 days before the first "adjustments" toward the MM(the ones that implemented only one group to up to four in the solo Q) and after that... Well... we TRIED to play together for about ~50 matches during few days and we both ended up with the conclusion that playing solo is waaay more friendly toward our health insurances...
Well frak me - I don't give a sheet about victories or defeats and I can bet my back on the next words:
I aint no quiter.
But what about the new guy?
This, in my own personal opinion and etc. should not happen. Ever.
The MM MUST be capable of finding a PROPER match.
And trust me on this - those 12/2, 12/0, 12/3 stomps were nothing close to an even match(yea - a match that ended even 12/0 could be close) - at least from my ~10 000 games of experience.

Nice seeing you Lucy :D
Thanks for reading my endless walls of pointless text again.

Maybe I'm in too low an Elo bracket to see these phantom even matches.

I saw about 1:3 even matches in the PUGs I played, which is an improvement, but I was never one to complain when a better team kicked my sides butt for being ...bad.

That isn't what I have seen. I mean it is almost like different people have different experiences. :D The solo queue is alright at the moment, but I would much rather have the option to drop with the groups.

And I am fine dropping against small groups as a PUG as well.

Ok...so, if it's ok for a 2 or 3 man to come into the solo queue to pugstomp us, why isn't it OK for the group queue to use solo droppers to fill open slots? Fair is fair, after all.

If i drop with 2 men and there 6+ of one house/clan on the other team. Then i leave the match with my friend and take next mech .
No need to play with a casual 2men team vs nerd die hard freaks .

You should be getting punished for this as it is against the terms of use.

I vote no to any sized group in solo queue.

Unless the opposing team mentions how many of them dropped together, you have no idea of the composition of the red team.

The red team could in fact be several teams similar to your team. Right?

I know having to use the chat and typing can handicap your gameplay. Like I mentioned earlier, a 2 man is like dropping solo. Solo players are use to having to use chat. I would recommend using chat a lot more than you have in the past. Communicating with just the teammate you dropped with is the thing of the past.

Stay Together

Lock Targets

Focus Fire

Hohoho I always wondered how you may look since you post quite actively...
As a sort-of-dedicated brawler I always liked to say that I love to be this close to the foe that I can see his face through the cockpit....
Dude... you're just not that case :o
In the good sense and stuff - you know :D
