You're absolutely wrong about center rush being the only tactic. It's the only tactic YOU choose to use.

I could take a look at the map and probably give you 3 more exact coordinates that me and my teammates use quite often. You don't know the map, that doesn't make it "bad"
You don't know how to work the map other than center rushing, many others do.

I won a 5v12 match here after more than half my team disco'd because they couldn't handle the awesome that Terra Therma can be. The elevation of the center keeps the enemy from locking missiles and there's only two ways in which is a great bottleneck and only really do-able if you have jump jets. If you're a slow plodding mech, forgetaboutit.

private matches are there for those who only want to play 1-2 maps. Use those

i doubt it, I'd vote for mordor just because I know so many like to run those hot builds and don't know how to manage their heat and use a little fire discipline and I have a feeling plenty more would do the same thing

The guy you quoted was talking about voting against tourmaline, in which you reply that you would vote against mordor. I'm sorry but what meant does not equal to what you wrote. Funny that you get on me for reading comprehension.... lol

He said he would vote FOR Mordor. Not Against Mordor, as it is a hot map and those with bad trigger discipline would die easily there.

I'm sure lots of people have already stated so but the ability to chose or even just remove maps from the queue is the worst idea in the long story of the bad ideas, if it was implemented we would have a meta build for each map instead of a general meta that has to deal with varying conditions so the new meta would be far more METAish and unforgiving of deviation resulting in a duller and boring game.

Naturally you remember it differently. :)

I'll check, as I'm sure you contributed to that hot mess of tears by the meta crowd or it may have been while you were on your QQ break. I even made a funny map pic for it but that was censored by the mods for language.

Forest Colony (+snow)
Frozen Shltty (+night)
River Shltty (+night)


I cannot stand these early shoebox sized maps that quite clearly cannot handle 24 mechs + turrets on them. Besides the fact these maps are horribly, HORRIBLY designed, I just straight up don't like them.

Amen. Those are map that are both horrible for terrain not stopping lurms (clipping through buildings) and spots you can outright get stuck floating in the air on invisible junk.

They already let us opt out of conquest and assault, which depending on the map you get greatly influences your chance of victory.

A MAJOR problem with spawn points on bad maps is they demoralize teams before the match even begins.

On Skirmish with River city, if you spawn at the "dropship" in a direwhale you're basically ****** unless you play underground railroad in the tunnel or for some reason your team all camps up there.


That right there is definition of bad map design where a random spawn pretty much determines whether you live or die in the first minute of gameplay.

I don't care which map is being served up, it'd just be nice to know BEFORE I picked which mech I'm driving. I'm not bringing a Nova Prime to Therma if I have a choice, nor am I bringing a Catapult A1 to River City if I can help it.
