Will Tuesdays Mech Quirks For The Awesome Make You Pilot It Again?

Some of the Inner Sphere mechs are going to get quirks like the Clan mechs already have.
In particular the biggest numbers were for the Awesomes, which "were sorely in need of something" to quote Brian.
12.5% less heat from energy weapons
10% faster heat disapation
17% less damage to hits to the Center Torso.
To sumarize, it will have 22.5% less heat, and have the Center Torso armor of a 90 ton mech.
It might be worth playing one, but we'll see.
I am glad that they didn't go with the 3 PPC before Ghost heat, as I don't want to put PPC's on a mech if I don't want to. Having heat and energy weapons in general get bonuses seems like a better plan.

Considering that most builds rely on energy, we'll see about those effects...

I don't know how that would be accomplished outside of actually changing the hitboxes to favor the arms instead of the side torsos... most likely I would anticipate the side torso coring would be more problematic (trying to run an XL on a 9M/PB would be more of a liability).

I'll finally have a reason to rebuild my -8T and -8V's from closed beta! All it will take is grinding up more C-bills for the purchase.

I wonder if there will be negative ones for the more popular chassis'.

Damage reduction, like on closed missile panels.
My prediction is that some people will start using chain fired PPCs and the least skilled players will start whining about that (or maybe boated Llas... even i have more faith in the baddies than to imagine that they'd whine about mlas boating Awesomes).

Some damage reduction on the CN9's left arm would be nice.

Centurion = 10% more armor for left arm (shield is actually a shield)
Hunchback = 10% internal Structure in Right Torso (to make the AC-20 last longer)
Awesome = 12.5% less heat from energy weapons, 10% faster heat sinks, 17% more armor for CT
Dragon = 5% faster rate of fire for Ballistics, 5% less heat from Ballistics, 10% faster torso twist
Those are all he said in the NGNG twitch stream.

Funny you should mention the left arm of the Centurion. 10% more armor for that.

With that being said, it will have to wait until after I've had my fun in my 3 AC/2 Dragon. Second favorite mech of all time and I feel sorry for the dust I let it collect.

I know a few pilots (MonPax being one of them) who excel at the Awesome chassis already, these little extras will make them even more dangerous.
Looking forward to it
