Greetings MechWarriors,
Today, we have a special patch with plenty of new content to try out.
The Hellslinger has arrived to the Battlefield! This Battlemaster variant comes equipped with dual-PPC, 4x Medium Laser and j3x Streak-SRMs. Best remembered from the Star League Era, these Mechs will remind the citizens of the Inner Sphere of the might of the Noble Houses.
A new Champion has also been fielded. The KTO-18(C) comes equipped with LRMs, BAP and a pair of M. Pulse Lasers to keep the battle going even once the ammo runs dry. This Champion is immediately available for free trial use.
Our weapon visual customization rollout has reached the Spider this week, with changes to weapons made on the Mech now being well visually represented on the Mech.
Players can further customize their Spiders and other Mechs with 6 new cockpit items available in the store, including the Kickers Warhorn!
Finally, don't forget to help your allies by holding targets for them: You might just get to hear Betty's latest voice-over callout! Please see the notes below for the full change log!

Probably means less environmental heat impact. This is a wasted patch. More pay-for content? No maps, no other improvements or fixes for ridiculous bugs that still exist?

Hmmm ...text has white background and is hard to read without highlighting. Are these "spoiler" patch notes?

Nevermind. :(

So the really new things are:

- 2 New word from Miss Betty, and

- XL300 + CASE :(

PS: I would use: 2 x ML, XL280, 11 DHS, BAP, ARTEMIS, and AMS (+1 ton Ammo) instead of CASE...
But, you know... I am a super-noob, not a Dev... so.. ye.. I hope someone will use Narc and/or TAG in every match in the future...

Everyone should know by now there won't be any maps for ~2 months. They completely stopped working on them for the 6 months they were making clan mechs.

I wish they'd release tons of variants from the same planet. Like Frozen City A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H.... just dozens of maps set in the same planet. Would be nice for CW.

I'm looking forward to hearing "Target destroyed" it was always very satisfying to hear in MW2.

All I can figure is that the map heat will have less impact on the mech. 50% is too crazy a number to be talking about the mech's heat dissipation. At least, I hope it is too crazy.

Nothing about rubberbanding/desync issue.
Nothing about module system adjustments.
Instead,a new hero mech arrives.
Yaaay,that's what was so needed.

Sadly no Hero Spider (VENOM pls), but at least the visual weapon appearance rollout has reached the Spider =)

Curious how the Hero will look =) Edit: Now i know. Looks cool.

Target Destroyed will add a nice flavour, and we don't have to shoot destroyed mechs just to make sure anymore =)

Thumbs up for skins!

Thx 4 the update

EDIT: Question to Inner Sphere News: Can we listen to the new Warhorn somewhere?
EDIT2: Problem solved, it's one of the original clan warhorns found here: https://soundcloud.c...r-warhorn-sound

EDIT3: Yes this patch isn't full of major stuff/fixes, but not every patch has to be for me. Sure more progres would be nice, but the way i see it: Since the patch isn't too big, they must have been able to work on CW and other stuff in the meantime. Hopefully.

Yeah, you're right. No more cash income for the company until your favorite bug has been fixed. Sounds like a sustainable business model to me :(
In other word: stop the b*tching. Please. It's tedious. We know about the bugs. Really.

Hellslinger name suggests it can "sling" its twin PPC's in Hell i'm guessing which means this hero gets a boost on hot maps like Mordor (i like that better than Therma) and Caustic. Going to guess this means it will not benefit as greatly from cold maps like Alpine which hurts it. Some quirk :( , depending on the map you land on you may be getting buffed with this mech or nerfed.... dammit I wanted a hero BMaster but this.... not like this, not like this....

You're right, keep paying money for a game with game breaking bugs (rubberbanding, desync, HSR issues with LRMs, etc), while the devs are busy programming skins for cash grab mech. There's a sustainable business model to keep people spending too...
