2nd match they are on now since patching is Clan vs IS.

Yea, seems teams are segregated but can be still playing against their own respective Clan/ IS mechs on the opposing team.

I am not in any way saying that experience is the only thing accounting for the discrepancy. That you read that into my post is your problem, not mine.

hopefully you guys aint getting an error when removing this "clanplayer needs to push his kills/wins" event ... i just got something that i would call fun after a lot of time and am getting better in terms of my k/d ratio (yes i still use mostly lightmechs)

would be a shame if the players who didnt buy clanmechs for real money have to suffer under the current imbalance (at least from my point of view each clanmech can be counted as 2 is-mechs or at least as being in a way higher tonnage than it really is)

but on the other hand ... i somehow expected a different implentation of the clanners ... maybe something like npc mechs getting into random battles and bringing death to both playerteams or players getting randomly chosen to use clanmechs instead of their selected is mechs. and of course i expected warfare to be there for a long time

Ok so Matckmaking times are upwards of 5 minutes now just to have IS/Clan vs Clan/IS.

Either lock the teams so they can only drop is or clan.

Can't see you (PGI) getting valuable metrics from this......

I'll be waiting for the hotfix that removes this BS testing.

They've mentioned it a number of times, and have already come out with a hot fix for some of the causes. "No mention" isn't accurate at all.

saw one person reconnect, but now I'm having to use task manager to shut down the game after I click the exit button

First drop Clan vs. IS.........12-2 the Clanners take it. I couldn't tell if it was the tech or the players though. The opposing team put themselves into a really bad spot on HPG.

Second drop was a stomp as well, but that was definitely bad positioning. Standing in places where there's minimal cover and staying in one place too long allowing flanks to happen.

I could definitely see 10-12 drops bringing things more in line instead of piling on more nerfs........really the last thing we need is more nerfs.

Sorry to say that but in this form CLAN vs IS is absolutely nonsense and unbalanced in PUG games.
Clan win in 4 out of 5 games with 10 mechs alive and the last one they win with 7 alive ...
Please reset to mixed matches ...

Glad to hear about the bug fixes and glad for the heads up about the IS vs Clan matchups. Good communication and development progress is exactly the kind of thing MWO needs.

I would like to give props to guys like Jman and Mcgral18 who continue to pilot IS mechs on the losing end of the clan mech stomps... they actually got a couple kills against us last round on frozen city. Keep up it gents, that`s noble work you`re doing.

Sadly the Clans also have 12 mechs in 3 lances instead of beeing organiced in stars with 5 mechs :D

Just played my first solo game since the hotfix and we lost with 12 v 2 kills against the Clans
2nd solo game was IS v IS which we lost 12 v 8
3rd solo game was IS v IS which we won 7 v 9 because of gathering enough resources
4th solo game was IS v IS which we lost 11 v 8 because of enemy capping our base
5th solo game was IS v IS which we lost 12 v 3
6th solo game was IS v IS which we won 5 v 12
7th solo game was Clan v IS which we lost 12 v 2 again
8th solo game was IS v IS which we won 5 v 12

I think restricting the Clans to 10 ( 2 x 5 ) instead of the 12 ( 3 x 4 ) would be a good idea, not only because of BattleTech Lore but also as ONE factor to balance the game !
On the other hand you could rise to 3 x 5 for Clan v Clan as long as no IS mechs are involved ... unless 30 players in a game is too much for your meek servers :(
Currently it looks like the Clans would need a 5 ( 1 x 5 ) v 12 Handicap for a balanced game, but as soon as there are TRIAL CLAN mechs available for new players and Clan mechs can be bought for Cbills not only VETERANS will be able to field Clan mechs !

If anyone actually witnesses a single IS team beating a full clan team, please take a screen shot and post in this thread.

I have a feeling this request is like asking someone to post a photo of a living dodo bird or some other extinct species.

I don't understand all the crying. I don't even own any clan mechs, and I don't really have a problem with them. Just seems to me to be a whole lot of crying over nothing.

Devs, thank you for the work. I for one was happy to see that it is supposed to be IS vs Clan today. As an IS mech pilot.

It's unfortunate, 2 times I've been close but each time I had teammates who just recklessly charged into waiting Clan mechs. The common theme I'm seeing is more related to playstyle of solo queue causing losses. IE - not shooting down UAV's, not using cover against LRM's, splitting up, etc.

Every time it is IS vs. Clans -> 0:12 for Clans...
I am driving Clan stuff, but that isn't fun.

Only good match was one IS vs. IS in my Protector. It was quite even and fun.

Going to have to go with this. Most of the players I've observed running clan mechs, especially heavy and assault are actually pretty awful players. I have always attributed it to people who bought in and didn't grind through IS mechs. (The exception is players who buy Clan lights, they are as a whole really freaking good from what I've seen). That being said, Clan tech is SUPPOSED to be more powerful than IS, that is a huge part of the storyline. So the question is, throttle back Clan tech or, start letting out better IS gear as per cannon?

Just had my closest game yet of IS vs. Clans... only won 12-4 win for Clans on River City. Of course we had a DC and a couple Badders on our team, but that`s besides the point... 4 kills is 4 kills. Now as to the discussion we were having in game chat, if anyone else wants to continue it here I will gladly do so with you regarding the importance of not only the clan mechs but the pilots themselves driving them.

OK enough is enough, roll this clan vs IS **** YES i SAID **** back NOW. 7 drops so far, 2 I.S. vs I.S. split decision on those 2. the other 5 IS vs Clans 4 ended 0/12 1 ended 1/12. Enough !!!

CLANS are way OP to IS anyone could have told you that, you don't need to torture us this way to know that. You want to know the IS vs Clan ratio try 8 I.S. vs 5 Clan. A 12 I.S. vs 10 clan will result in most matches going to clan. It's not quite a 2 to 1 ratio but damm close.

So roll this garbage back or give me preimum time equal to however long you insist on keeping this garbage up. I do not own a single Clan mech so I'm loosing most matches without a hope of wining and burning preimum time.

You want to play these games do it on the test server thats what it is for. Stop scrwewing your PAYING customers to figure this out.
