Feedback:

The timezones worked against Australian players again. Event starts ~4am Saturday morning; ends 4pm Monday afternoon.

With the heavy grinding required after Clan mechs started swamping the matches later in the weekend, there wasn't a lot of 'evening play' time available. US/Europe got three evenings of play.

An extra 10 hours or so (through to 8am Monday server time) would help alleviate this next time.

Lots of desyncs and bad hit registration. Hopefully the stress test will lead to a real solution.

Fiona Marshe, PGI thinks Oceania is an island off on its own way to far for them to bother about ...

managed to get all 20 in my streaktaro. took a bit of time since it was 1 here, 2 there, 0 there, 1 again, had a 3 pop up by accident, then when i was at 19, i pulled off a 5 kill match somehow to get over the top.

but it'd be nice to have spotting or assists or just the simple wins thing they did once or twice before. anything with kills and people are going to fight each other over them. i managed to avoid it for the most part in my matches but many people have posted they haven't been that lucky.

Got most of my kills in a TBT-7M, the rest were between a GRF-3M and QKD-4H.

I had one match in the 7M with 5 kills. Been a while since I had a match like that. it was fun. :)

Thunderbolts and Jenners were the trick of the day! Easy to get at least 1-3 kills per a match.

Another ******** implementation by PGI, didn't think I was going to make it by the deadline, gave up. Then had a 6 kill match within the last 10-15 minutes of the challenge.... oh wait stats may be delayed up to 15 minutes before 11:59 PDT... so the contest may have actually ended at 11:45am PDT..... kept refreshing my Challenge page and the 6 kills never got updated... thanks PGI

BBV,

Did you by chance, take a screen shot? If so, send it to support. They might be able to help you out. I've had a couple issues they've resolved for me to my satisfaction.

I had that 1 match with 5 kills and immediately took a screen shot, just in case. Good habit to get into during a tournament or challenge.

Sorry but I call BS on this one... I believe they happen.... have seen them.... have had them... but in no way believe that you got timer screwed with your 6 kill match.

Screenshot or it didn't happen...

FYI- With you being a defeatist and quitter... If you got the 6, I still want you not to get the reward... :)

I enjoyed this event. When I started on Friday night you could tell people were really pushing to get the kill. Lots of major risk taking just to get the kill shot. In my opinion it made the game much more interesting. The ferocity and quantity of the brawls was a sight to behold.

The most fun came the last few hours of the event. I already got my mech bay but there were some trying to eek out their last few kills. Ended up just following around those who needed help in my trusty Sarah's Jenner, soften the enemy up, and let the other guy get the kill. One match a guy needed 1 kill, he ended up getting 8. Hah!

It would have been cool, but we wanted Steiner versus the World. This would have made it Steiner Scout Party versus the World. :)

Can there be another event that IS 'Steiner Scout Lance vs. the World?'

So what was this all about? Indexing kill-ratio to Elo? Trying to see if Elo would move downward in unpopular designs, or counteracting Clan Inflation? Maybe just boosting weekend participation? :)

Darn, I thought the challenge ended Tuesday. I had to work all weekend and planned to grind through this on my day off (today).

Ah well, it was just a mech bay so nothing to cry over missing it. I'm just glad to see another challenge.

So, I failed at completing the challenge. Didn't get time on Saturday to get in as many games as I usually go, so I had that going against me.

Overall, the solo queue games were all really enjoyable. Good mix of mechs and builds. Only a few steamrolls during the hours I played. (Thank you to my team who followed the tunnel push in Crimson. Seeing the team move at 13:30 all in unison was glorious) Enjoyed running my old Inner Sphere mechs again. Clan were a challenge each time, but ultimately could be out played.

Now I didn't fail the challenge because I didn't contribute. I had plenty of games in my Griffin and Banshee with 400+ damage and 9+ assists. But dag nab it, I just wasn't getting the kills shots.

I'm hoping each challenge will have a different objective. Personally I would like to see:
- Complete 5 (maybe 10) matches in which you have 5+ assists
- Win 1 Assault match by base capture or Win 1 Conquest by Point Capture
- Destroy 25 components over the course of the challenge
