The glut stems from the Talon package during the Phoenix package.

But then again, the Shad, Griff, and Wolverine are the 55 ton Dougram triad. Since all but one of the Phoenix mechs are redesigns of Dougram art, they might have had legal reasons to get all the unseen they could out of the way in one fell swoop.

But because of that, there's two extra chassis in the Medium class.

I just hope the in-game model doesn't get the Quickdraw treatment. When they first released the concept art for the Quickdraw it seemed like it was going to be one of the best looking mechs in the game. Maybe a little too humanoid but it was gonna be nice.

Then we got pics of the Quickdraw in-game... Sure it looks like the concept art but its soooo damn bulky in comparison.

If the model looked like that I'd still be playing it.

If the Vindicator undergoes a similar treatment I will be very dissapointed because the art makes it look totally awesome.

I know I could forgive them for "slightly" deviating from the timeline and giving us the 4L ECM version... I think most of us would actually applaud it. We already have the Cicada 3M so the Vindi 4L could just be the slighty slower but jump capable, humanoid Cicada.

And come one for the Hero version give us the Snake so if you want ballistics on the right arm you will have to pay for the Hero but I'd be OK with that. Otherwise the remaining "different" Vindicator chassis are just too similar.

An other useless mech.

First, it can't mount Clan Tech.
Second it has no Ballistic Slots and not enough Missle Slot for a AC or LRM Boat.
And at least the Energy Slot in the Head is useless, because there is not enough Slots for an IS Large Laser.

Better bring us the Warhammer.
With the canonical Weapons (PPC in each Arm, Med Laser, Small Laser, Machine Gun in each Torso, SRM in Right Torso) awesome Mech Builds would be possible, like for example 2 Large Lasers and a AC5 in each Torso !

I can't remember the formula, but max engine is based on stock engine size, right? So, I'm worried that at least the 1R is going to be dangerously slow starting with a 180 at 64.8 km/h.

Im a sucker for medium and i hope his hardpoint are not all replicated on any of my other mech. Lets have interesting Quirks on all the new IS mech comming out. Any news on the Module fix that was announced weeks ago, are we getting any tree/module reset at all?

Just the concept art for the mech in general, which is something that's been missing for a while. We never got concept art for the heroes, and early peaks at the mech are usually on Monday for the Tuesday release.

Nice.... so when are all the mechs actually going to have updated visuals? Like tubes changing with different launchers and hardpoints visually changing based on the weaponry equipped.

Probably just before they finish the hitbox overpass they last updated in... January?

The concept art is great, but for gameplay wise. This mech has less firepower than a KFX, same as a FS, below a BJ. It weighs 45t. Unless they provide the ECM variant, which in most cases must not be a Hero mech (to avoid QQs), we won't be seeing these guys in the playing field even when lauched. And 60-70 kmph meant that engine change would only bring it up to around 90-95 range after tweaks. That is really slow for a Medium.

Most IS pilot will still go for BJ,CN or FS. Unless the said ECM is available or it has some really good quirks. Like heat generation -20%; Heat dissipation +20%, Energy CD-10% , good hit-box and torso twist angle. It will still as I expect and predict, suffer from the general IS XL weakness to maximize its potential.
