Update On Server Lag Issues

This is just a quick message to let everyone know that we are aware of the lag issues currently occurring on production. The cause of the issue roots back to how the engine handles high network traffic levels under load, and is resulting in specific players desyncing from the server due to extremely high induced latencies. This typically results in the affected player noticing other mechs in the game either rubber banding or walking in place, as well as abnormally long delays when zooming or changing vision modes. We have been tracking these issues since they were first reported to us, and have been working on resolving them ever since.
The first set of fixes are scheduled to come out with tomorrows patch (August 19th), which should help to improve the situation somewhat. Beyond that, we are looking at making more significant changes to the underlying networking subsystems that should directly improve these desync situations; especially under high loss or highly variable latency conditions.
Thanks for your patience! We hope to have these bugs resolved as fast as we can.
-Karl.

Being here since closed Beta, I appreciate the (relative) recent increase in communications. Things like "Hey guys, XY isn't working, we know, but we're looking into this" or shooting out hotfixes or rollbacks (C-ERLL i.e.).
What I like most is the way I've seen it in some threads, like: "Hey community, we're going to handle XY so-and-so." and even responding to sloppy answers not in a bitchy but asking way ("We've met the issues you mention; we can't resolve it like this because [insert reason here], but if you've got a better approach, please let us know."
No, I am not being sarcastic. I got the impression you are not only onvolving the community more and more, but also let them know you do (and WHAT you do).
Yes, I appreciate.

Jman, this would be good if it was a single connection. Even after rejoining ths issue persists. This is not a client connection issue or high latency issue from the client side, it is their server code taking a dump.... or I would even suspect a loop in their infrastructure on one of their switches....bad gbic?

Haven't we had this issue before?

Let us hope this actually mitigates or reduces this problem significantly.
