Here's my two cents on mechs I think should be the highest priority for future mech additions !
I give a list of 5 IS mechs then a list of 5 clan mechs as well as some honorable mentions (ie ones that would be nice to see, but shouldn't be high priority for adding)
IS mechs
1. Valkyrie (30 tons)
2. Bushwhacker (55 tons)
3. Argus (60 tons)
4. Mauler (90 tons)
5. Fafnir (100 tons)
Honorable mentions
Chimera (40 tons)
Marauder (75 tons)
Anihilator (100 tons)
Some reasoning
My first pick besides being a cool the valkyrie is arguably the only "female' mech
The mauler is to ballistic weapons what the awesome is to energy weapons. that said I think MWO severly lacks a ballistic heavy assault mech and this one would fill that void nicely. Most MWO assaults seem to either be missle heavy or balanced or like the awesome they are energy weapon heavy so Yeah get this guy in the game asap. Lastly the Fafnir was a mech that appeared in the first MW game I'm actually astonished it hasn't already appeared in MWO.
My honorable mentions would be nice additions to throw in the game here and there The chimera was another clan based IS mech , the marauder is just a classic IS "bird mech " that was popular in previous games. and lastly the anihilator was the "forebearer" to the atlas, that being it predated the atlas and was largely replaced by the atlas but refitting after the clan invasion breathed new life into the design.
Clan mechs
1. fire moth (20 tons)
2. Shadow Cat (45 tons)
3. Mad dog / Vulture (65 tons)
4. Ebon Jaguar / Caldron-born (65 tons)
5. Kodiak (100 tons)
Honorable mentions
Naga (80 tons)
Linebacker (65 tons)
Reasoning
The firemoth would be a great addition to fill "gaps" in the current clan offerings (correct me if i'm mistaken ) it's a real light recon mech that would fill the role the spider does but for the clan side of the game. The shadow cat has only really appeared in MW4 games (it may have been in MW3 not sure), But dang it sure was a blast on mw4 . One of the few mechs that could more than hold it's own against much larger opponents when configed right. The mad dog is one of those "why not mechs", generally this mech is a missle heavy design and in mech cannon it is one of maybe 3 mech designs that can rotate its torso a full 360 degrees MWO NEEDS a few unique mechs like this. The caldron born is one of those clan mechs I really expected to be in the first clan mech release ... it was heavily featured in MW2 (the game this one seems to be spiritually influenced the most from). Adding it in the future is a no brainer. Last but not least it is the often most forgotten (imo ) clan assualt mech I was real bummed that the default MW4 games never offered it (MW4M did have it in a clan mech pack). in short it is probably the fastest assault mech in battle tech cannon this 100 ton behemoth pulls 64 KPH compared to most assault mechs ranging 40-54 kph.
My two honorable mentions were both featured MW2M and I just felt they would be nice additions because I liked their designs.
well there we have it a list of ten mechs i think PGI should work on doing after the clan pack is fully released (in c-bills). Though i'd much prefer to see more game play variations (convoy mode or drop ship defense/attack pls). I can understand why game modes aren't a priority its assumable they would be "free" additions while mechs can always be huge cash cows (look at the clan invasion packs and project phoenix packs), but well give me your thought on my list and if you know of some cooler IS or clan mechs you'd like to see by all means tells me about them !
