Call out bad teams. Call yourself out when you do it. Leave no excuses for bad teamplay, or you simply exist to perpetuate those bad teams and bad players and have no excuse to complain about getting your head kicked in by those who are willing to say "We were bad" and then do something about it.

Well THAT is something i would agree with,
nothing wrong in pointing out failures, IF you accept that you obviously, made some yourself (i have seen Jenners taking out as much as 2 Assaults turning a loss into a victory, so "i was outnumbered" is no excuse)

If things go bad, name them, thats the way to improve.

My rule of thumb -

the Complainers are the ones with the worst performance at the end of the match. (More often than not)

I just had it happen last match were I commented on my frustration that I had three bad teams in a row. Of course the comeback was something along the line of "Oh so its all the teams fault right?" with the implication that I was claiming everyone else sucked but I was great.

The thing is, saying that your team sucks doesn't mean that the players on your team suck, it just means that your "Team" as in everyone actually coming together to win a match, sucked in that regard.

You can have the absolute best individual players imaginable, and if they all decide to go do their own thing running all over the map, ignoring everything but their own agendas then your team is going to suck and fail.

So try not to take things so personal when someone coments that the team sucks because obviously it did suck or you wouldn't have lost 0-12.

Dude.. In the past few days in particular as I've been playing more I've seen some TERRIBLE players who have completely, undoubtedly thrown the game for the team and it's not rare, both individually and collectively. I just had 3 prime examples. On two of them I spotted 2 isolated mechs or an isolated lance.. We had ALL of our team around a corner and I said guys 'PUSH!! - Look at the radar! PUSH!' Now... when you're in a deathball facing 2 or 3 enemy.. pushing would be the right thing to do eh? Well.. we lost. My team allowed them to regroup. I stood there yelling for 3 whole minutes, shooting away with my Jenner. In the last game on Alpine I held a whole lance (Direwolf, Centurion, Shadow Hawk, Hunchback) at the bottom of the hill for 3 mins roughly just as they were charging my team at the top. My team dropped like flies. They were facing the wrong way! (Looking down at the valley.) I had been talking to them too saying push H8. By the time I was overrun it was 5-1 to the enemy.. Another idiot rushed a base with 2 mins to go... we were 11 - 10 up on Caustic and out Cataphract and Kitfox chased the squirrel right up to the point where turrets ripped them apart.

Sometimes.. the team really does SUCK. It's frustrating and the actions of some players are just infuriating. I can understand why people troll. I feel bad when I let rip at people and I shouldn't, it's just a game after all but... Grr... some people!

Carry harder... :D

Behold, the feel-good, pop-psych response. Remember, nobody's to blame because if we say you're bad, you'll have issues and never overcome the issues. Circular reinforcement of "failure is good".

Give yourself a pat on the back for that. Did this make you feel better? Okay. If we're done being condescending, I didn't say anything what you implied.

My point is, most people who aren't good players know that already. What you're doing is simply calling them something they already know. Most people strive to be better. I strive to be better in any game I play. When you say that hey, you need to stop sucking, that actually helps nothing. Simply calling out "bad play" doesn't help no one. If you tell them how they sucked, they might improve.
I've gotten the picture from your replies that you simply tell people they suck, but offer them no insight on how. That makes you part of the problem why people aren't getting any better. Surprisingly enough most players heed advice if you're polite, rather than saying "OMG U NUB SRM ONLY HAZ 270M RANGE" saying "Player X, you're generating unnecessary heat firing SRM on enemy that far away, it only has 270m range" works far better. I've actually seen players pick up on this advice right away they've read it and scoring a few kills.

But hey, if you enjoy being a jerk because "it weeds out the weak" well, that's your prerogative.

Where I had problems with this challenge were all the fast mechs that wanted to play circle jerk, where they left the assaults behind and they would go off running in a big circle on some maps. I swear almost every single time I lost a battle this weekend was when most of the players ran off leaving the few slow assaults to die to the enemy with almost no damage done.
