Create a mech that is has

- very light armor
- nanotech auto repair function
- low power shields
- weapon load very low, or melee fists. If use fists then extra space for better support equipment.

benefits:
- very fast movements
- instant short range teleport, can repeat right after warping out, thus travel fast
- can hit enemies without being hit themselves, but if you get hit it's bye bye really fast.
- exellent protection against guided missiles.

Reasons for such mech:
- another way to play meachwarrior. Not the same path "bigger is better"
- exellent recon mech

Well plasma torpedoes would be too disruptive but I prefer the Gorn :)

We are the Borg. Resistance is Futile. Prepare to be assimilated. (and collated, and stapled)

Don't think that most of that is in MWDA either.
Nanotech repair? Power Shields? Teleporters?
The former belong on Hercs, while the latter is better restricted to Star Trek and the like.

It would be a sad day indeed when the BTU got shields and teleporting mechs.

Last time I checked the BTU was in a recession on tech.

Wrong game?

I don't think its a good idea because of disbelief.... unless you misjump and end up in the rear torso of an atlas I could not see this done for other than hilarity. Rather have something else, maybe tow cables to trip up assaults :)

Nope, still advancing.
Still recovering Star League technologies (Chameleon LPS, Null-Signature System, etc.) as well as developing new ones (Super-Heavy BattleMechs, Ultra-Heavy ProtoMechs, Quad ProtoMechs, Glider ProtoMechs). And with no major conflicts between the Jihad and 3120-ish, we'll probably see even more new technologies.

Terrible idea. completely removes any sense of battletech. Light mechs are made viable by a decent balance in game and role, not gimmicks like teleportations and shields.

Ya cannae change the laws of battletech.

Sort of.

This!
If there would be bad net code or connection problems, you will see the teleporting mechs everywhere.

Nice. A Raven with such awesome ECM that it causes lag bursts?

Maybe the OP refers to going back to MW3 connections with LAG shooting.

I want to replace my Hatamoto-Chi's vibro-blade with a light saber. It should look like a rainbow.

I will pay real life money.

Oh and I will use "The Force" to crush my enemy so I don't need to do any damage to the 'Mech. That way I can salvage all 'Mechs I face.
I can also wave my hands in front of the face of the traders and get all my 'Mechs and weapons for free.
