I don't think anyone is going to break down in tears while screaming "Noooo! They left out the A-pods!!!!"

Mad Dog is iconic but as a mech in MWO, inferior to the Timber Wolf in almost every aspect.
So it would make sense to give it as a bonus (no way they are not going to monetize the ECM heavy mech Hellbringer).

The bonus mech will be released to everyone later anyway, doing the Mad Dog gives PGI no advantage.

That is also a reasonable way of seeing things... but which alternative they will chose?

Seriously, where are people getting this weird idea that the mech will be absolutely exclusive, and no one else will get it? So far it sounds like the loyal customers are getting early access to it for free. Probably with a Wave 2 designation. Just like the Invasion mechs, the Phoenix mechs, and the Founders mechs before them.

Sorry, Russ and Paul for the Sherlock Holmes reference.

Mad Dog (nearly as iconic as the Timber Wolf) - there's no way they would leave this out
Fire Moth (would give us a real scout (the 'B' variant has ecm) - if they could get MASC working, this would break the game (top speed 216), the mist lynx is just another slow light with ecm on the 'C' variant.
Ice Ferret - always liked this over the Viper, but either is fine
Executioner (it would give us a assault that can jump, and is worlds better than the Gargoyle)
As a Special mech I would die for the Hellbringer (and it would probably become main mech), but I can't see PGI releasing a heavy mech with ecm (at least until they nerf ecm into the ground, like they are talking about). Nonetheless, the Hellbringer is a popular mech so it has a chance.

There is a 100 tons assault mech with ECM, so, for God's sake, why not a heavy?
BTW,
- Fire Moth would probably be too fast even without MASC.
- it is most likely the assault mech will be the Gargoyle.
- the Mist Lynx has 118.8 km/h top speed (without speed tweak) - that's not very slow. And it has ECM and jumpjets: I think it is better than the Kit Fox.
The Viper and the Ice Ferret are both 129.6 (without speed tweak). The Ice Ferret has 1 more ton for weapons and a little more armor, but the Viper has jumpjets. I think they will choose the Viper simply because it looks more "Clannish" (chicken walker).

They could just not release the Prime lol I mean all the others have their Prime variant but there is nothing in what they've said that says they have to release primes.

I wasn't sold on liking the Viper but I've talked myself into it over the past week. Now if it isn't in the package I'm going to be sad lol

I'm with Pariah here. One, Russ stated previously that the Loki is the same as the Thor (Summoner), and that means the same with the Dragonfly (Viper). So we've got two `Mechs have in common. Which should make it easy enough to deduce what two `Mechs are in the Pack. We shall know more come Monday.
