When I first bought my founders pack I was so very happy. I contributed to the community, and wore my founders badge with pride.

Do you know what it is now? It's nothing but a shiny golden reminder that you scammed me. There is no other way of putting it. You scammed me out of a LOT of money with promises and a franchise that I loved.

...
Thanks for ruining something that I have loved since I started gaming, and thanks for making me despise my founders tag as a reminder of just how much you screwed me over.

Really, this is all the Founders tag means now. It's now a badge of shame. A reminder of a time we trusted PGI.

You clearly broke the rules when only allowing PGI devs to be Mods on redit.
You also nuked the redit site of every single thread that was not posted by you, as a clear example of why redit has this policy.

PGI should not have mod control over the redit, it defeats the purpose of having redit.

Logged in for the first time since... long.

I stand in solidarity with those who want these Founders Tags to mean something again.

To PGI - School's over boys. Dry your eyes, but your big boy shorts on and be held accountable.
Basic integrity, fellas. It's not hard.

Nah! Come on now!

Dont be THAT harsh!

About PGI? Well, be as harsh as you want!

But(!) Your and MANY others founders, Phoenix and even Clan Owners, managed to, everything else aside,
get US the players, quite some good hours together!

Yeah everything about PGI is just a bunch of crap as it seems, and by chance, doors will be closed soon BUT(!)

You founder/phoenix/Clan buyers, even the Gold mech Whales, and EVERY member of the community which contributed in financial OR creative ways, was a big part of shaping SOME hours of our free time as Battletech fans, into something special, at least for a while!

So, even if it means jack ****:

THANKS for your involvement, from a fellow Player, i tipp my hat to you guys who have a founders/Phoenix/Clan badge!
And to those, who did all the nice stuff surrounding the game!

Do you want one? You seem like a cool dude so I'm willing to shell out $10 so you can come play BattleTech with me. The wait list is a little long right now, but that's what happens when you successfully wage Community Warfare since January of 2011! I'm working through it! :D

This is embarrassing, PGI. You basically grouped and acknowledged an entity of players as something you're actively opposed to. Of course they obviously made that move first, but by reciprocating and asking for "reinforcements" from a neutral party, you're escalating the whole thing and dignifying that group way too much. Should have just done your research on the Reddit rules and/or let the whole thing die once the shadowban occurred.

I will be crying myself to sleep. I'm realizing I used a huge porition of my gaming budget at the time to buy a product that was about as close to a scam as we've seen. "CW is 3 months away! Spend money!" Clearly they kept this lie going to keep the money flowing. No Eula protects your from deception and we could likely start a class action lawsuit. I'm sure there's a lawyer among us who wouldn't mind taking up the fight for us.

So Niko is like "I got banned from Reddit for violating their CoC, and now I'm going to whine about how unfair it is for all the internet to see." Dude, I got Permabanned from the Lodestone (the official forums for FFXIV.) for calling the drop rate of Atmas BS, and I took that ban with far greater dignity than you are right now. You loved dishing it out so much, be man enough to take it.

That thread is mind boggling to me since I never played tabletop. Pretty cool to see what goes on tho.

It's def worth a look if any of you others have an SA account. Poptart's a p. cool duder.

The issue in question stems from the fact that we had created a sub-reddit for r/Transverse in order to pre-empt any possible recreation of the events which occurred leading to the creation of r/OutreachHPG following the take-over of r/mwo.

I want to point out that this post contains false information and is in fact NOT true. /r/mwo was never "taken over". /r/mwo was from the get-go created by the Something Awful crew and the ultimate power of the sub-reddit has never changed hands. Its current demeanor and ire is nothing more than a reflection of how a large portion of the community feels about something they have personally invested themselves into.

Wow. After 10 pages in I kind of feel bad for PGI. I hope they'll respond appropriately and pull things together, even if it means doing some drastic things they thought they'd never do. Cancel/postpone Transverse before its too late, apologize, come up with a realistic plan of how to make us happy, etc...

Because honestly, if MWO goes under, we probably won't see a Mechwarrior title for a long time, and its still fun. If incomplete.

I hope they can reflect on their situation here and learn from it.
Being banned without compassion or explanation shouldn't happen to anyone.

It has happened to several players I used to game with on MWO.

There is always hope, right?

Indeed. It is frustrating to see parts of our community ripped away from us for arbitrary reasons that even left alone... would have amounted to nothing.

I'm there with you, hoping. I, like many others, genuinely want this game to be a success.

An apology and some amnesty would perhaps be a good start.

If we would have SIMPLY pooled the money we shove up their (PGIs) rear end, we by chance, could have simply revived Mechwarrior LL AND got them the tools to create something impressive...

Niko,

Are you actually reading all of these posts or just skimming past anything that doesn't stroke your ego?

THIS....ALL OF THIS...is the result of PGI ignoring it's community for I don't know how long. ALL OF THIS.

I don't know what to tell you, dude.

It's gotta suck to be banned from a third party site...one that isn't even the "official" site for a game you produce...because you violated their rules.

After seeing how the moderators of this, the "official" forum handled people posting displeasure with PGI's practices on third party sites, I really don't have any sympathy for you at all.

I really, REALLY, hope you have some kind of staff meeting soon so Russ, Paul and Bryan can actually see what they've done.

You reap what you sow, man. It's a fact. And it's not like there weren't any warnings out there before this happened. They were there, you ignored them.

Nope MW:LL was forced to shut down because of the acquisition of the MW licence. The more you know!™

Yeah the fact that all us bitter MWO goons + nongoons are posting in this comedy PR thread is because, deep inside, we wish this game was still good. Those 2-3 months of closed and early beta are trophy memories.

Now excuse me as I alt + f4 to toggle my 3rd person view

That is really what PGI should take from this thread. All these people are taking the time to log in because we still love Mechwarrior. Do right PGI, apologize, clean some house and show us all that the Mechwarrior we know and love still lives and will blossom into what we all hoped it was. THEN work on transverse. (Although I really do suggest renaming it. Seriously that is such a bad one.)

I dare to say, as MUCH as i wished for this to be an option, and i really do, it wont happen.

PGI seems to be in a state of "panic" and by chance more troubles then you could guess, thus they respond with aggression, as a cornered rat would.

Yes, YES the way OUT of that problems *is* simple.

Yet, nobody there sees it.
