Niko's actions basically ruined the kickoff of an entire new product for PGI/IGP. Even if PGI presents Not Star Citizen was a bad game, PGI still lost an entire product launch thanks to one person. Keep in mind he 'left' his old company due to similar moderating screw ups.

I doubt he will lose his job over this, but it most companies he would be sacked. Also what the hell was PGI thinking hiring him in the first place.

I find it completely amazing how many people are terribly pissed off at the game, seem to hate it and it's developers, yet still play the game and post on it's forums.

Just sayin.

Because we want it fixed, so it can be the game 30 years of Mechwarrior deserves.

Lets be honest here Transverse had no hope in hell of taking off because of PGI's history of producing garbage shovelware and defecating all over the Battletech Franchise. Niko is just a tiny bit of corn that is the gargantuan poo that is PGI

I hear this is the place for Founders to represent!

Reading these posts is the most fun I have had on a PGI operated system in, well, forever.

May have 6 or 8 drops since the "UI 2.0" nightmare hit. Regret every penny ... sort of. I did learn a valuable lesson. Never to pay for an unfinished product. So I guess I should be extend my thanks ...

Yeah I agree, but he still killed a product launch. Even if it was the worst thing in the world he still mucked it up.

I think you're missing the point here. They aren't pissed at the game, they want it to grow. Also, they haven't posted on the forums for the most part in 1+ year(s). Those of us that have been around have been saying the gameplay is better than they remember and is in a pretty good state right now.

my last post is so long ago it only shows my one post in this thread as my posting history....

Ok not sure why you even post this here. Of course I am not sure why you post stuff there instead of here anyway.

Nope MW:LL was forced to shut down because of the acquisition of the MW licence. The more you know!™

Information is ammunition!

Nailed it! Posted Image

Seriously though, Niko and co., we Founders (group-affiliated and not) are obviously not happy -- it is not a conspiracy. The other customers are raging too -- for months and/or years. None of us wants this game to fail explicitly; rather we want it to become what was promised and then move forward -- some elements actually are good.

Somehow in the repeated crowdfunding, you've managed also to crowdsource the rage and ire of the Internet and that battle you cannot win. Whether you and I have had run-ins on Twitter or not, this community's incredibly short memories want nothing more than the MW game originally to be attempted. We sighed when it was initially exclaimed that MWO could only focus on the O because limited funding capacity, but we've stuck that out for years and it's still not what we really expected from the limited scope. But you know we have short memories -- PGI has literally banked on that for years now.

Regarding your and our banning and blocking:

I have seen friends banned. And I do not believe it was fair. You and other PGI heads have blocked the people who would definitely (and/or have been) some of your most avid and energetic supporters -- usually for being "spammy" in a moment of heatedness. You want to protect your new players (cf. the moderation discussion thread you started), that is fine: make them a section or better-highlight the one that already exists and actually make content for them -- then point them at whatever NPE stuff you have 17 times during sign-in and download.

Break ToS/CoC on another site, reap the results, cause-and-effect style -- as those people have no horse in this race, it was not their fault for your actions.

You must now declare a general amnesty and turn completely around. UN-ban your most hateful users and have the conversation. Have the conversation. Un-block us elsewhere and you will be amazed how magnanimous we are... and ignore any initial hating out of catharsis. Spend an entire day focused on understanding why this is happening, truly, not on spinning it. We are not inherently antagonistic, angry, stupid, and hysterical. You made some of us this way -- we feel trolled -- and even if we are the minority and you are still making money, it is not good for your future to ignore this.

We have such short memories:

The almost sad yet perhaps cathartic and human side of all this is that we have very short memories, and this community's proved it has even moreso judging by your making any revenue off the Clan Packs. Turn the ship around and apologise properly and the quite-reasonable 95% or more of the players that at the moment feel disenfranchised will at least stop and say, "I'm listening... go on..."

Russ's town-hall the night before Transverse's announcement sounded like more of the same ("90 days to CW but here's a 'Mech pack!" Derp.). We need to see exactly where CW (which is a terrible name) and the rest is: if you have been working on it, show us what you have -- and not just a Command Chair from Paul full of text -- Pics (Vids) or it didn't happen.

Turn it around. Unblock/unban us -- anyone who did not threaten you or someone else or other egregious behaviour -- momentary spam and righteous anger does not count because those are the people who actually ***want*** to love you. Amnesty. And everyone here will raise an eyebrow, as I said, and think, "I'm listening... go on..." <-- you need that.

As I have said many times: Good luck.

(also to those commenting that Sandpit is laughing hard right now -- he is -- on comms -- it's loud)

Yeah right.

They keep telling that mwo is near complete. So It's safe to say they have already decided to move on from mwo and BT. So after "cw" release which will most likely be as wonderful as UI2.0, they will freeze it completely just doing sales and other $ items.

And they still think they did it all right. Just with a slight delay. Unbelievable.

I'm not arguing that concerns are valid or anything. I was just commenting that it's amusing. Some people in this thread are quite angry, probably even justifiably, but there comes a point when you cut ties and not only vote with your wallet by not supporting devs that are making a game but vote by simply no longer being a part of the community.

The netsec in me is screaming honeypot. They just drew out everyone related to the reddit that they would want to ban over it. I wonder if they're going to hose down lowtax with a flamer

If there was another battletech game that worked I would.
OH WAIT There isn't

MPBT:3025 with working lobbies and maps is no longer around. (2001)

Posted Image

ALSO who is playing Netmech or MW2:Mercs with lobbies? (1995~6)
Posted Image

We just got a map and Basic lobbies this year in MWO. (What does said map do yet?)
Community warfare was suppose to come out 60~90 after open Beta.
Do you know how long ago that was?

Things like "Mechwarrior online will always be a 1 person game"
Coolant gate, Money Funneled by IGP to MWT.

This ceases to be valid advice when the stakes are not just your personal enjoyment, but the potential future of a unique, cherished, and amazingly rich franchise that's being slowly thrown to the dark abyss of the fathomless universe by money mongering and piss poor directing.
