Just to verify, as I want that Centurion
Is there a goal to how many MC we have to have bought?
As I have bought a Dragon Slayer, a handful of Champs and the Stalker set, some mech bays and colors, just wondering if this should be enough for the AH?

Seeing as I have dipped into the Phoenix Overlord, Saber Reinforcements and the Warhawk Pack(and of course will be picking up the Gargoyle collection) so this should secure the King Crab for my bay correct?

With this being the case the Atlas AS7-S should also be tagging along?

or am I missing something?

If I need to cram some packs or flashy stuff let me know as I am wanting that surat stomping King Crab above all, but the CN9-AH could be a fun toy as well.

Will I be eligible for the maddog after having upgraded my clan first wave to Masikari way back before release?
If I am with that pack I would consider wave2 to complete my eligibility.

I appreciate the gesture, and you're slowly taking steps in the right direction, but their still are some big issues waiting to be resolved before I jump back in. I all appreciate you taking the feedback and rewarding not just Clan pack owners, but original founders as well.

I've known PGI a bit longer than the anniversary time ( Happy Anniversary! ) and I'd like to thank them for all they've done. I get sick to my stomach every time I read the put-downs and negative garbage thrown PGI's way. These folks have bent over backwards and struggled mightily to bring us the best Mechwarrior game we've had in years. Every day I play this game and every day I'm happy for it. It also irks me I am poor as dirt and can't give them the money I think they deserve. But I do my best. I don't put money into many games simply because I don't have it; when I do some of it happily goes to MW:O. Happy anniversary and thank you. It's been a true and rare pleasure. As a bonus the people I've met at PGI are all good folks. They're some of the coolest people I've ever come to know. I've never had a game be so positively life changing in reality.

In other words, F you to all you jerks that hate on PGI for no reason other than to read your own bile and masturbate to the beat of your self-loathing heart. There, I said it. Feels better. Been silent too long. Back off of my friends.

YES!!!!!!

Thanks folks, seriously - a very solid 1-year reward program, and I think we're all happy to see the Centurion AH return, if only in a limited form.

Here's to many more years of MWO!

Ok question. I have a Phoenix Overlord pack but not the reinforcement addon so I should still get the king crab correct?

Oh and GREAT job :)

How do we know if we've done 100 matches in that timeframe? Is it a Challenge in our Stats Profile subsystem? If so, not posted yet.

Also are the items injected even if we don't open the client? Would seem that the two are not connected, technically speaking. I, for one, have no intention of even installing the client until faction conflict CW elements are in-game. But my $500 ('Mech packs and MC purchases) should still get me "whatever" for when/if I come back, no?

Thanks for the answers. Hope they come down in a FAQ list somewhere. This thread is messy/long.

So from my understanding.. I should be eligible for all but the clan pack-based reward? Nifty.

As a Lyran, I approve of the AS7-S, I have all the other variants and this one is welcome. The only thing that would be better is designating the Atlas as a faction mech for house Steiner as they should be.

Should I be worried that Russ is giving everyone (King) Crabs? :o I would have been happy if the Vulture had taken the place of the Summoner in the original Clan packs. Unfortunately since you have clearly stated that IS players that purchased Clan mech cannot use the mechs in CW then there is not much point in me expanding my stable. Especially since my $120 Clan package purchase does not qualify me for any extras with the new Clan pack.

Well it has been a long time since I had the opportunity to say this but.... great job PGI!!!

Thanks for the appreciation and now finally I can start believing we are really at a new beginning where the game has potential again. You might have even convinced me to spend more money hehe.

On a side note, looks like I should be getting everything except the Mad Dog. Founder, bought MC, bought the top tier Phoenix pack when it first came out and I definitely have over 100 matches. Only thing that kind of sucks is that I am going Clan Wolf for CW so all those IS shinnies probably aren't going to get much playtime.

This is a nice gesture but I'd like to point out that lack of mechs is not the issue many of us have. I know you've heard this a lot already but I'll use this first page pulpit to say it again: Getting rid of something like ghost heat would do more for your bottom line than all of those mech rewards stacked together. The King Crab sounds awesome but it's meaningless to me in a game that I don't want to play.

I appreciate your shift in approach here, I really do, but the major point bears repeating.

And all those things would be great if they were within the space of a game whose gameplay fundamentals were sound. It's a damper on what could otherwise be a great game. Even PGI's biggest detractors agree that the core is solid but it's the balance that holds it back.

Edit: Earlier version of this post didn't make sense because I was trying to type it so quickly.

I think the reward packs are cool. Thumbs up to PGI and I hope that these offers drive both interest and revenues.

However, to address GaussDragon's comments. In the first post you wanted PGI to remove ghost heat and in this one you state that it is the balance that holds them back. Ghost heat is a balance mechanism designed to counteract boating ... 6 x PPC were not balanced (I had some fun with them for a while though I must admit). Similarly, 4 and 6 large laser builds were also quite effective depending on the circumstance.

Gauss + PPC was devastating for quite a while until they introduced the gauss firing mechanism and changed the gauss/ppc speeds to de-sync them.

ECM was introduced as a hard counter to LRM swarms and boating.

Do I like these design choices? Not necessarily ... but they were all made with the intention of improving game balance ... which at the moment (at least in PUG games) isn't all that bad. (Timberwolves excluded I would say :) ).

So ... you say "take out ghost heat" ... useless comment without other suggestions to actually balance the game since by doing this you reintroduce all sorts of unbalanced builds. You may not like ghost heat (I am not hugely enamored of it myself) ... but please indicate how ghost heat negatively impacts balance?

Also, I don't think removing ghost heat would drive revenues nearly as much as you seem to think. Most folks who actually play would still continue to play and would just adjust their builds to the revised ruleset ... they would not buy anything based on whether ghost heat was a rule or not. Similarly, IF there are people who refuse to play due to ghost heat (I have no idea how large that number might be) ... and IF they started playing again with the rule removed or revised ... there is STILL no real way to guess whether they would spend any money or not. If ghost heat was actually sufficient to stop them playing ... then I doubt that removing it would draw them back ... and it is certainly unlikely to get them to spend more money.

Thank you for nicely outlining some of the things PGI is a total fail at, you could say game development in general.
