I'm loving this.

My personal favorite kills/deaths:

First drop in my Direwolf on June 17th. Flamer Locust zips by, and then proceeds to BBQ me, until I died of it.

Running around in my Ember, ran into a DWF on Alpine, in the J8 I7 area. I use my JJs to jump on top of the DWF, and then proceed to burn it with my 4 MLs while sitting on top of it. Poor ******* didn't know what to do. It was probably the most frustrating death in MW:O's history. Second only to death by non-stop ramming for 5+ minutes.

So far, one and a half whales have fallen to my mighty firestarter.

Not bad I'd think, for a new convert to light 'mechs after using assault/heavy 'mechs previously. Also, I have to point out that it was probably the most satisfying thing to kill a whale for my first time in a light, glorious revenge for all the times I was alpha'd into ashes.

Well, I found an absolute Fun new use for my X-5 Yesterday.

On Alpine, and a poor Whale was at the furthest spawn point, the Raven and Jenner that he spawned with had long since left him.
He obviously pulled a lot of armor from his legs to mount his weapons, and ended up paying for it.
The Irony of my life, is in my own DW I struggle to kill other assaults (I'll admit I'm not the best Pilot in those lumbering beasts).
But in my Mediums, they are easy targets.

There are certainly no shortage of them out and about today. I have one group kill and took an arm off another in my spider 5k. And I only had time for a few drops early this morning.

I WANTED to be the first to jump on and kill a whale!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried it about 2 weeks ago but the whale's rather rude teammates shot at me for some reason. They must have been a pre-made...

Heh. Killed two of these things in the match where I got my creeping death achievement. In my SPL-boat Locust 3M. On Alpine. Even before the C-bill release.

Let the hunt begin.

But...but....but hunting dogs isn't as awesome as whale hunting.

well go though yesterdays direwolf threads in the general section, there are suddenly a lot people saiyng its fine and mobility is already enough drawback.

Yeah it has to be Whale Season for sure. I managed to sneak my Adder in behind one on Canyon and Flame/ERML its rear to death, He could not turn around to bring his weapons to bear, and by the time someone on his team had the idea he might be in trouble it was over.
This Is probably the main reason when in my BJ or Cicada I stick close to them in case a light tries to end there day.
That being said I am always happy to oblige a team that leaves their highest DPS component all alone for my Adder to get.

I also got 95% of another one but a Catapult took the last shot via LRM and finished it.
