I love the Hellbringer. I'm sure I'll like the Gargoyle too.

I bought this pack for three 'mechs: Gargoyle, Hellbringer, Mad Dog. I knew the other two wouldn't have enough pod space/hardpoints for me.

HAHAHAHAHa Nice joke.

The gargoyle may be better for movement keeping up with the pack, but that is about it.

The Stalkers are better going toe to toe with the Direwolves. Everything is better going toe to back to a direwolf.

Yesterday we were coordinating a solid push on the outside of the HPG in HPG Manifold. Waiting for our Dire Wolves, we spoiled our surprise strike and then, when we pushed, we had a nice brawl, but our Dire Wolves were againd behind us.
Sure, they are snipers, but they could not even see the brawl going on on the other side of the corner..

If they were Gargoyles, we would have attacked by surprise instead of letting them set up in defensive positions, and we would have had 12 'Mechs attacking at the same time instead of leaving some behind ;)

Kerensky bless fast assaults!

I said it at the start of this forum, the mech will be limited as to what it can do due to pod space. End of discussion not going to be a good brawler, not going to be a good sniper. will be a support mech laser vomit build only. anything else will be a waste.

I still don't understand why people are disappointed. They are support Mechs. They're hardly designed to withstand a heap of punishment.

Because everyone expects every mech to be some god machine of death and destruction? (They also don't seem to see different mechs for different roles, so if the mech doesn't fit into their "role", it has to be a "bad" mech?)

I did it for the Hellbringer and Mad Dog... So yes, not upset in any way shape or form.

The problem with the gargoyle is the problem they've always had - the guns are too low and there aren't enough free tons.

So far i have been disappointed. Mist Lynx has paper thin army, it has a jump jets that can launch it to the moon alice! Is this mech suppose to be some kind of joke cause honestly a Locust is more effective especially a Pirates Bane

Ice Ferret probably the best one, still not as capable as the stormcrow or even a Nova (except it has better torso twist)

Hellbringer.....well from lore i know it has overheating problems so i don't mind that. Besides i like the "straight out of hell look" that i get when my mech is steaming hot. But i don't like the fact that's it's current hitboxes are so broken that an arm shot to your side registers as a torso hit instead.

Well the Mist Lynx is 25 tons, no one expected to have good armour which it didn't, but made for a nice Sniper 'mech.
Ice Ferret was designed as a Clan Light in the form of a medium so it fits a gap which no other Clan 'mech can.
The Hellbringer is getting fixed/is fixed I think of the time I post this.

On topic, however, people ruling 'mechs out on being bad before they've dropped are kinda silly. I know you're trying to give food for thought, but you can't judge a 'mech solely on pod space, it's a fast assault, scary looking, all sorts of weaponry, fast, armoured. Granted this thing can't stand toe to toe to a Dire Whale, but that's because it's not meant to, nor should it be, don't compare 'mechs to what already exists, hope for a 'mech that is different. Unless you all want everyone in a Dire Whale or Timber Wolf and that's all the variation you need then that is just silly.

Myst Lynx is the circus mech, when it flies around the Benny Hill music should play

Ice Ferret was designed to fit Clan Ice Hellions tactics, which is fast hit and run. That strategy doesn't work well in MWO due to the fact that fatties can't keep up and thus would be cut off from the other stars.

Yes Hellbringer will be awesome when fixed

Yes, many of us are. I bought both clan packs, and after mastering all I have received so far-I feel like a bit of a chump for buying in to them. I don't lke the direction PGI have gone with balancing them.

moar heat! moar heat! MOAR HEAT!

it will fill a role, and capable assault pilots will do well in it *the gargoyle*

for comm warfare *still releasing dec 16th?* would you rather pay 5 more tons for tad more armor, bigger target, and less heat management for the weapons it has, or take the HBR/TBR and spend the tonnage elsewhere? since the 1/1/1/1 drop deck rule is NOT going to be implemented, the GRG will be seen rarely *i bet*

I, for one, will be using it.I wish we had all our Dire Wolves and maybe Warhawks replaced by Gargoyles in our dropdecks. Finally, the day will come when assaults are not left behind anymore and a fast company of 12 'Mechs can move as a single at 81+ KPH.

CYCLONER:

while i completely understand that point, the lack of alpha strike firepower will make most players feel "underpowered"
that is why i make such a statment
