AGAIN:
game 1 : Caustic: 2:12
game 2 : Canyon: 4:12
game 3 : River City: 1:12
game 4 : HPG: 0:12
game 5 : Frozen City: 1:12
game 6 : Mining Collective: 2:12
game 7 : Forest Colony : 4:12
game 8 : Mining Collective: 4:12
and all those games within 3 to 4 minutes.. Canyon was the worst... 3 ECM spiders and one ECM raven on the other side while my team has... right... NONE.

I came here to say exactly the opposite. In spite of the hand wringing, pearl clutching, and flopping about behavior by some, I was consistently put into very good matches last night. I played 8 as well with one stomp and 7 that could have gone either way until the the last few seconds.

I guess people with high stats are "unlucky" with teamate attribution maybe i am wrong its only hasard.

Might I suggest that the logical conclusion here, is that ELO has nothing to do with stomps?

Have you also noticed a win or loss on X map, the very next time you get that same map its the opposite? Especially if its the very same map back to back?
Iv actually uninstalled. I might check back when the lights get their quirks, but its mostly 2late at this point, PGI dont make it 2late 4 me. This is the ONLY online game I like to play. If I cant play mechwarrior I die inside. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

i dont really know why it is that hard since a few weeks. my K/D ratio is now 1.40 and my w/l is 1,643 / 1,440.... i've just checked it right now and i'm suprised, haven't checked it since a few months. didnt know that my wins are actually 200 in front, i must have had a huge plus there.
i'll find myself spending more time building new loadouts and shooting on the training dummys at the testing grounds right now then actually play the real game.... sad

no, haven't noticed it because its not possible.... i only lose... doesn't matter on wich map and how i play, the team i'm in loses. and after beeing in the match for one minute i know whats going on. you dont need more time to see that it will be a loss again. ppl spliting up, lights getting oneshotted and enemy leads 3:0 after a minute and thats it.

Happy you, congrats
BUT... IF i'm on the team who always wins in a stomp, it's also not fun... Matches should be more even with balanced tonnages, ecm mechs and stuff on both sides, not only on one, and they should last longer than 3 minutes. Its also not fun beeing and the stompers side. This game, wich i loved once, turns into a fricking shooter. As fast as Quake III and this also shows the masses of new(?) players playing the game right now... and talking nonsense wannabe cool stuff in the chat. :/ PGI did a good thing when they made it available to hide the global chat.

But no matter how close the ELO and skills of teams that the MM assembles, it will not change the nature of game play and reduce the likelyhood of stomps or at least only very slightly.
So if people want less stomps, the core gameplay of the game needs to change. But that will probably require some very drastic changes that could result in it being less of a mech game. Dropship mode might help on this though. We will see.

just let me pick what i wanna fight and under what conditions/restrictions, if im unreasonable i wait a while for opponents. the meta will determin balance.
kinda sick of spawning as a short range AC lance in my hunchie on alpine. must say it happens less these days however.
there is a trend i have of picking camo for the worst enviorment for my mech, i tend to fight there the most.
i see it all as a waist
still give them my money
and maybe just a little voodoo.

Not sure about the timing with the OP's post but yours.....
You can thank the guys that whined loud enough to get PGI to reverse the "map vote" feature that was put in recently.
It truly benefitted the Solo queue....you may or may not have noticed it, but there were far less new players in the mid-range queue.
The group queue, however, had different opinions about it. I even got an email from my old unit asking me to vote to have it repealed. I get it...it's hard to fight a specific league battle if you end up with a different game mode than was agreed on.
But so many more people in the solo queue were effected by the decision...it really shows where PGI's interests lie.

QFT ... my experience was much better tighter games when the "mode vote" was operational

This bit I don't get ... if you're playing a league match, you're dropping 12's and you'd be using the private matches instead of public group queue ... unless no one had premium and they were trying to sync drop?
Which is a real kick in the head that someone would actually vote NO just because of that despite Russ telling us the Elo differential for groups narrowed significantly.

According to Russ the soft vote had almost no effect on solo-queue. You might have simply been "lucky" with your matches for the 24 or so hours the feature was active.

But it is easy to not allow match between 2 teams with 0 ecm agaisnt 2, 3 or 4 emc ...
I mean ok " no ecm in your team " dont mean you havent any chance to win but when you have at last one ecm ( and more ) on your team you have a great opportunity for dogde Lrms, narc and avoid get killed cauze everybody see you are red cored ( just you have to follow a ecm guy and wait our team finish the job... ).
PGI didnt really play theirs game thats why MM don't mix ecm capability for build teams ...

Wait times are up; and 'competitive' to PGI, apparently means 1-2 higher skilled players expected to carry a bunch of noobs against a full team of mid skilled players...

Quite the opposite. Players seem to either not see stomps or only see stomps. The only explanation/difference between these players could be Elo.
