there not satanists, you sire are deluged religious nutbag.
Cor centuries pirates and armies has used intimation as part of warfare. It's obviously a paint job to stand out and inspire Fear, not satanists.
No matter if your religious or not you offer up a pray to whatever gods of battle when your in a foxhole in a firefight.
the fact you say people who don't agree with you are demon worshipers onyl shows your ignorance and bigotry.
Perhaps I should have worded that a bit better but no, I'm not a nutbag lol Sure call me what you will, I dont care. I'm not a religious nut either, infact I dont even go to church or pray. I just found the number, which is widly known for moching humanity along with fire details a bit shocking and offencive, and among other things you would commonly see associated with pain and torture. Not my cupotee.

I went googling about that symbol on the cent's left leg the 3 triangles. I found this http://www.vikingrun...-viking-symbol/
"The word valknut is a neologism: it is formed in modern times through combination of ON valr, ‘the dead’ or ‘the slain’ and knut, ‘knot’. Valknut is a Viking symbol of three interconnected triangles."
Might explain the "knot"? on the other leg. Those "Angels" might be Valkyries.
OR..........THOSE ARE THE PROPHETS of DOOM! The HARBINGERS of the COMMING OF......

I don't have a problem with it. Christianity and Judaism are still alive and well in the year 3050, across the Inner Sphere. I guess it's not a popular religion in all areas of the galaxy (Capellan Confederation?), but it's certainly not hard to explain it. Indeed, the presence of actual real world religions in Battletech is one of its redeeming features, IMO. I like that they're not all worshipping Zordaxx, the Space God, or some other invented deity.
I personally would love to see more religious motifs on mechs, because it fits the background. Bring on the islamic, hindu, buddhist and... well, maybe not Modern Norse, as it makes no sense at all. I'm sure PGI would be terrified of having islamic motifs on a battlemech. Certainly a huge depiction of Muhammed with a baseball bat and a shotgun would be something to avoid.

Yes I for 1 am ****** pissed about the Hellslinger, and FireBrand with the mechs skin premoting satan. Totaly a breach of the games own TOS, but I guess the dev's are imune to their own rules? It clearly mentions no religion, symbolism, and referances in names, and any form of it. Last time I checked 666 was clearly part of a Demonic religious affiliation to the Devil in all mannor of the word, AND is used in referance to moch Humanity. Ya this is heavy stuff but the game has this stuff in it. Its offencive to some people, not all I'm sure. Ya people who dont agree with my oppinion are probably satanists or demon worshipers of all types. I've seen it over and over. Trolls will be trolls. I have no problem at all with those typse of people, but keep it out of the game I play and pay for.
I agree lets go back to our fantasy of killing other people!
No more evil mechs.......else we gonna end up with mechs that feed the hungry and heal the sick.

Remember that time when pgi released the jager hero and people were all like "But jesus won't like that it has 666 on it!"

If youre offended by something, the problem is you, not the offensive material.

And what the hell happened to the left arm? Really, what is going on there? That shield is smaller, which is very, very bad, but the arm itself seems smaller. I guess I need to go in game and compare, I might be crazy.

You cant change a persons view instantly and you cant change their personnality with a single post on a forum. However you can instantly fix the offencive material with a simple click of a button. You seem to have your oppinions backwards and you're warped.

Well, that kind of makes sense. However... when you really consider that, it would be nice to get back a quirk for that. Even a 5% damage resistance bonus on the missile LT should be inline with the pseudo-benefits provided by the missile bay door (it's not perfect obviously).

You are right, you can fix the offensive content with a click of a button. See that little 'x' in the top right?

The "Three Norns" idea actually makes sense if the King Crab's getting a similar paint job. I'm curious to see it.

Good find.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valknut
It's a match, and while the AH screws seeing it utterly on the Atlas and the AH's geometry makes it almost impossible to see on itself, I could swear that "angel" (more like Valkyrie now) is holding a spear, which is what valkyries are usually depicted using, IIRC. I do not know if angels are usually depicted with any particular weapon, but... between the Valknut and the bindings (which are connected to Odin, I think), seems to be a slam-dunk.
Traditional depictions of angels almost always have them holding a spear, actually, and with long hair, but they are typically androgynous and with a variety of robes, sometimes with armor-like elements, rather than masculine or feminine. The spear sometimes doesn't show up, like in the Annuciation, where Gabriel is depicted more as a herald or rhetorician rather than a warrior-servant, or the Hospitality of Abraham, where the three Angels are depicted arranged around a table with food and drink on it, with their robes colored to suggest the Persons of the Holy Trinity.
Swords do sometimes show up as well, and some angels are depicted as armored (Michael, perhaps), but the Romano-Byzantine style typically defaults to a spear, often with a spear head shaped to suggest the cross.
As for the specific examples in the promo picture, the robes don't look anything like Romano-Byzantine dress, and the colors aren't those typically associated with angels. They are both very feminine, with long blonde hair (one loose, the other braided). I couldn't make out enough detail to tell if they are armed, though the one on the Centurion does seem to have what may be a spear on her right side.
There are no halos, just hoods. Angels are never depicted with hoods, as far as I can tell. I'm not familiar enough with Norse traditional art to know one way or another about Valkyries, or about Norns, or whatever.

Nope, but you can just ignore that the person is offended. Its all relative. You come over to my house, see a giant wall sized Iron Maiden Number of the Beast poster and think..."Well that just represents everything thats horrible in the world...im offended." I go over to your house, see a giant Jesus nailed to a cross and think "Well that just represents everything thats horrible in the world...im offended."
Either were both right, and both things are offensive...or we're both wrong, and neither is offensive because its simply subjective as to whats offensive in the first place.
Im pretty sure its the latter.
See the difference between a punch in the face (something to actually get offended about) and an intellectual/philosophical/artistic punch in the face....is that one of the two types of punches in the face, actually hurts, and actually does damage, and is actually worth getting upset over.
If youre offended...the problem is you.

You know how I keep from being offended by them?
I dont attend.
666 on a mech offends you? Dont use it. A giant cross and a biblical passage on a mech offends you? Dont use it. You have the power. This is why if youre offended, its your problem. No one is kicking in your door and shoving artwork you find offensive in your face...in a public space, you have no right to not be offended.
