Yes, politically correct, "Not telling you what you SHOULD do", of course, followed by the usual "but, I'm gonna imply what you should do".... Which, of course, is run the ONE Assault with ECM.

OK dude, take it as a personal attack and get madbro. *SMH*

From what I've seen of your posts, you tend to be able to make your points without being so rude. I guess I was just surprised.

And I'm free-balling, thank you very much.

You do what makes you happy, of course, but there's ONE Assault with ECM in the game, and you didn't want it?

View PostDock Steward, on 14 October 2014 - 08:57 AM, said:

Nope. The comment was, "you had a chance to buy a DD-C, and didn't?" Small difference, but not really. I also said, "do what makes you happy," but that part wasn't as easy to rail against, was it?
No, Your original quote implies a bad choice. When it comes to this game the only bad choice is doing what others think is best for you.

Your first post has more peer pressure dripping from it. I. Am. Groot. Means so many different things by how it is said.

But Saying, "you had a chance to buy the ONE... and didn't want it. Your emphasis make's it an insult to choose anything but the D-DC.

Now How I said it in my original post implies an advantage in the ECM but not implying that it was a bad choice to take another instead.

And I guess I don't see where my original response was "rude". Strongly worded, but it was no way an attack on you. "You" in the context of my response, was not directed at YOU, as much as the sheep mentioned in the opening of my response, the players who insist you must have ECM.

And I stand by that. If you, or anyone feel I am handicapping the team by bringing a non ecm atlas, my question holds to not just you, but ANY player, then aren't you handicapping the team by not bringing one (or another ECM carrier, at least?).

Okay, so your's and Bishop's opinions are valid, but mine is not. Thanks. Now I know. And knowing is HALF the battle.

Bishop is clearly projecting something onto me that wasn't there. He flat out said he read my comment as being that ECM mechs are a must. I never said that. Inferring and implying are two different things.

I never said nor implied "handi-capping." It was inferred by others.

The difference being, neither Joseph nor my posts are implying our opinion are better, or that you SHOULD run what we prefer.

Yours unequivocally implies that one is making a mistake by not running you choice. But that hey, if making a bad decision make you happy, go for for it, kumbaya and all.

Since then, you have been extremely defensive, and taking this as some sort of personal attack, which it has never been.

Its not the validity, its the dripping sarcasm at a choice other than what you deem correct. You probably have an opinion near mine, but your wording was far to condescending.

Again, wrong. I was saying that players should have good tools. While on a match to match basis, I don't think a DD-C is a necessary tool, in the grand scheme of things, if your going to own Atli, the DD-C is a specialized tool worth owning. It is completely unique at the moment because it is an assault with ECM. That is a fact. ECM is very useful. That is a fact.

I never said I think people are wrong to not run it. I said it's a better purchase than others. That is my opinion. I shared it. By the very nature of you putting in the effort to share yours, you are, in fact, implying that your opinion trumps others. If you didn't think so, you would have kept it to yourself.

Nope. It was sarcasm because the OVERWHELMING consensus is that ECM is great.

Oh. they are entirely intended to influence others.

To be willing to have their own opinion and not follow the masses, because the big bad E-bullies say this is what you should run.

Again, the difference between my post, Josephs, and yours? We never implied our choices were better. We did imply we prefer them. And that people should play what they want to play, which is what the OP appeared to be asking.

But to acknowledge that would shatter that tenuous grip on semantics you are trying to use to make a fight out of this.

So tell you what. Keep being offended. Keep beating your drum, to "win the internet". Because it's pretty obvious you are just looking to be contentious anyhow, because someone dared to disagree with your post.

Okay, so you and Joseph "implied" that people should play what they want and that's meaningful, but when I explicitly say "play what you want," it's just me being PC. Okay. Gotcha.

If I'm being contentious, it is because you quoted my post and then proceeded to take issue with its contents.

Don't start none, won't be none, as they say.

EDIT: It wasn't even you taking issue with its contents, that would have been fine, but you started ascribing all of these undertones to it that clearly, CLEARLY were not even there.

did either of us end our comments by implying what people SHOULD play. The ONE Assault with ECM?

Pretty sure, not.

As for don't start none, wont be none, totally agree. Which is what makes this defensive bender you are on, counter to that. Only reason this conversation is more than a footnote in this topic, is your continued pitbull-like worrying at the whole thing.

since I prefer NOT to tell people what to choose, here
http://www.popcorngif.com/

a variety for you to choose from. But it would seem odd not to use the ONE with ECM Stephen Colbert.

If you want to counter someone's point that ECM is a must have, find someone actually making that argument is all I'm saying. Don't tell me I was implying it, when I wasn't it.

OMG dude, don't accuse people of having an opinion that they don't have and then get mad when they object...you racist.

I cant get height of Bishop Steiner either. One day he's white knighting like pro. The other day a biscuit and coffee for some trolling and on the final day he's a black knight with a white sword balancing on the edge. No offense though.

Just put the guy on ignore. Problem solved. I have done it, and i am happy thus far.
