Just bought 3 Direwolves with C-bills, will grind and grind and grind to get them all mastered up and then probably sell 2 of them back, during that process I'm sure a few sales will pass me by, but truth is, im to busy with the grind to take notice, should have enough c-bills from this to to it all over again in a few months with whatever c-bill mech I choose next. Free to play, havent spent a dime in 2 years. And still playing

Any guesses on what the Light/Medium mechs will be?
AFAIK the Assault has been nailed down to the Zeus,
the Heavy poll had the Grasshopper winning by like 3 votes out of 6,000 so that one's kinda unsure.

Though note that the Clan Wave 2 pack had 2 heavies, so having Grasshopper + Black Knight is a real possibility.

Anyway you look at it, it is still massive savings (over buying mechs indivdually). I have bought them all without hesitation and will continue to do so. Why do I do this, you may ask? Because MOAR MECHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes the light wll be the Javelin, of this I am certain. I have sources that have seen it combat. Yes im being serious.

Apparently it is the Panther but it still stands that the Javelin was being tested in public servers. Must be a later release.

For me, it's entirely dependent on the mechs involved. Battlemaster and Locust are favorites of mine, and I always like the Tbolt and Shawk: Phoenix pack was a no-brainer for me. And the Wolverine was ALWAYS my favorite, so the add-on was also a no-brainer.

But I'm an IS purist, so any of the Clan packs really had no interest for me outside of a cursory aesthetic admiration. I would never buy one.

But if a "Harmony Gold" pack rolled out with some of the unseens? Especially a Marauder, Warhammer, and Archer? If a pack had a Hatchetman or Urbie? Yeah, I'd be all over that.

I reward things I want so they make more of that.

This. Admittedly I've gone stupid crazy buying too many Heroes back in the last 50% sale months ago and bought 'Mech bundles, but skipping Clan so nice to get something more focused on my interests.

I believe Russ has said the packs sell really well. Its perfectly fine if you're not interested in buying a pack, though. They'll all be available for Cbills after a short time. However, I wouldn't expect them to stop making these packs since they are successful.

In the case of the resistance pack just announced there was a fair bit of community interest in getting another IS pack.

I sure do hope your the all knowing god of mechs, cuz I totally wanna see the Zeus in this game. It really killed my interest when the first 16 mechs, the Zeus wasnt included, then I peeked in a time or 2 and still didnt see it....and its still not here. I hope your right. althogh, at this point, I probably wouldnt even drive it cuz now ive got mah WhoreHawk. Might still eventually have to nab one just to say ive got it....that and a Mad Dog, Hellbringer and Stormcrow.

The announcement post has all the names (even though the image doesn't). They are the Panther, Enforcer, Grasshopper, and Zeus.

its all about supply and demand
if nobody was buying the packs or did not want them, they would not be making them

there was massive demand for a new IS pack
i suspect we may not see another pack for a while after the current two have run their course
i imagine the art team will want to go to sleep for at least a few days

Its not a bad thing that we get back to back sales like this. They tend to run for months and allow you to progressively upgrade your packages over time.

What these packs function as is pretty simple, they are essentially a system to promote the next to be released 'Mechs and generate a bit of hype.
They all eventually get released for F2P, but buying into it nets you those 'Mechs before they come available for free. Its an Early access thing. Those that want to spend the money on 'Mechs can do so, and are 'thanked' with early access to the 'Mechs, which gives them a presence within the game, leading others to see it, want it and potentially pay for it. But if you're happy to buy with c-bills, then the package is basically saying "Well guys, these are the next few 'Mechs to come out".

So if you don't want to pay for them, just use them as a poster to let you know what new 'Mechs are coming.
