Please define more precisely what "stay close" means.

I would assume (dangerous I know) that it means either the 140m or 150m mentioned in the other distances - but clarification would be nice.

UI
  • Users will now return to the 'Home' tab instead of 'MechLab' after a match.

I'm not sure what decision making process led to this conclusion, it seems totally unrelated to what people actually do after a match.

It should be

If a player is part of a group, return to the group window so the player can ready up.
or
If a player is playing solo, return to the mechlab main screen so they can choose another mech, or just hit play again.

It would also be nice if the social window wasn't modal, and instead was properly it's own tab at the top, so you could switch from social to mechlab and back with one click each way.

(And if you are editing a mech, the mechlab button should still be active, so I can return to the main mech screen after saving a mech without having to hit back 4 times)

Your "Solo Kill" Definition is circular. I'm assuming it's meant to read that a "Solo Kill" is when you get the "Most Damage" AND "Killing Blow" ?

I got 2 free mechbays but I don't see my CN9-AH nor AS7-S????

I bought 1 à la carte Mech from Clan Wave 1 and a Tier 3 Package from Wave 2. I also bought MC in the past.

Nvm. Relogging helped. Patience, young padawan.

Founder purchaser. MY Atlas S only has ammo, no engine and no weapons. Also, being a founder I should also have the centurion but that is not showing up in my account either.

Am I reading this right? My new Centurian is dual AC/20?! "Hello Boss? My Grandma died. I have to go home.(!!!)"

No, you can't fit two of them. All 3 ballistics are in the same arm.

Complicated reward system is complicated.

Seems like it might be another stealth CBill nerf, given the massive reduction in assist reward.

But I'll continue to play with the benefit of the team foremost in mind, and see whether I maintain my earning rate.

I love this! I really do! :D

I would like to make an appeal to PGI though: Don't stop here. As an extension to this new reward system, perhaps also allow these statistics to reflect on a user's profile page. As it is under "BASE STATS", only the Kill/Death ratio takes real prominence there, and as every MWO player new and old knows, not only is the K/D ratio an inaccurate gauge of performance (seeing as a "kill" is merely who got the last shot in, and not who did the most effort to take the target down), but too many people give too high a value to their K/D score to the point that they'll sacrifice teamwork just to get the last shot in.

This new system greatly encourages teamwork as intended, and so each player should also have a record that reflects how good a team player they are. Good for ego boosting and legion/clan/corps recruitment. ^_^

Most of this pleases me. Definitely like the rewards changes.

However, I was actually really unhappy to see the change in LRM5 heat scale. I honestly don't see the point of adding LRM5s to the list of weapons with heat scale. Wasn't the whole point of heat scale to limit high-damage alphas? You do more alpha damage with 2 LRM20s than with LRM5s and you use up fewer hardpoints.

Now the few builds that even run LRM5s (Mad Dog, CPLT-A, Kintaro) suddenly don't seem so good, and they weren't even "meta" builds.

PGI, could you reconsider this decision? The lack of a heat scale was one of the few things that made the LRM5 attractive over the heavier LRM weapon systems. Now the only thing they have going for them is slightly higher DPS (with a tradeoff of more HPS). Seems like a bit of a waste of hardpoints on certain chassis' now.

This change was mostly for consistency since it seemed all anyone did was boat LRM5's If we rethink anythink it needs to be across the board so for now - things are consistent

I'm confused...why isn't it I (Lights), II (Mediums) and III (Heavies).

Lights, Heavies and Assaults get a JJ buff? Confused <---------
