If there's a way of screenshotting or providing links to previous matches then I would happily oblige.

Alas, this game has limited (aka zero) functionality in this respect so I cant post anything.

Why wouldn't you take a screenshot when it happened if it were such a shock? Instead, you would rather complain about another aspect of the game.

Look - this is about having your cake and eating it too.

There can't be "bonuses" without penalties - now losses apparently can penalize players, and so, too, do those losses that penalize players, do also incentivize not blowing consumables left and right in every possible game.

Not every mech should be rewarded identically, and segregating the rewards by weight class seems like the best way to implement a role warfare based benefit system. The Medium queue has how many in it now? 50%? It appears that this is working to some degree already.

So there you have your cake, the one we - the community, have been asking for, for literally years.

Now eat it.

No the medium que is 50% because shadowhawk, stormcrows, and New centurion. The assault que was at like 50% when the D-whale went on sale. once against people fail to take into account some factors when it comes to statistics.

Yes there can. It's called having bonuses without penalties.

See how hard that was?

I can kinda see where people are coming from.

Before the change, I could make around 175,000-200,000 a match, with premium time, and a normal mech [easily around 200,000 with a cbill boost mech] per match... and minimum of 150,000 on a "Bad" game

I just had a match in my Jagger, where I topped out, after our team won in skirmish, at 100,000

I'd argue we're making about half of what we used to.

Yeah, 50% medium queue has nothing to do with the sale on stormcrows and the free medium a lot of people were just given so clearly it must be this new reward system...

We have been asking for rewards for scouts that would bring them up to par with the other mechs and their rewards not nerf the income.

Just curious ... how does PGI
(1) maintain "X" C-Bills earned per match (whatever X is ... doesn't matter, but it's important to them), and
(2) provide additional rewards for desired behavior, without
(3) reducing the rewards for the old behavior?

Based on Alex's post, overall rewards are X +/- 5-10%, and they're going to be watching closely of the next few days to track and tweak appropriately.

Without questions -

That, however, should probably be your sig line. Not sure it even applies to this thread in particular, just more or less in general :P

It does reward playing well, if playing well is not using your team like meat shields, keeping as many teammates alive as possible, focusing fire and sticking together.

It doesn't. You even explained why in your previous post. Look at the examples of what you think playing well is, ie brawling in a murder ball. And in particular the example why you think sniping shouldn't be rewarded as well as brawling.

This is considerably less, I would have earned a lot more in the old system.

Sniping isn't rewarded as well as brawling because that leads to games where everyone snipes - which sucks, as we well know. You want to snipe? That's great - snipe away. It's a low-risk high-reward (in terms of kills) playstyle. Brawling is high-risk high-reward and should be paid better accordingly.

I've got no issue with brawling being the biggest cash cow - when you win. That's actually ideal. My issue is that it still barely pays the bills.

Looking fine to me. Try playing as a team member rather than an out-for-yourself player and you will be rewarded. Might even need to look at your builds...

I did a match in my Invasion Timberwolf, got 2 kills and 8 assists, did about 700 damage. Got 130K c-bills.

It's pretty simple, actually: your benchmark for "X C-Bills per match" should be for an individual player, not a group of players. What does this mean?

Well, if a Direwolf pilot does well in his role (blowing mechs up) and gets 300k C-Bills in a match, then a Spider who does well in his role (scouting) should also get 300k C-Bills in a match.

Post history aside, others have corroborated the degree of rewards he is complaining about. He has a legitimate gripe.

I think it's fine. Sure it's less. But you need to do a little more work. It's still rewarding. On paper ot looked good.

You said it rewards playing well. It doesn't, as you pointed out yourself.

Main problem with this system is on a solo kills vs Assists
Assists are now worth, 2500 down 4000 from 6500,
now assuming a solo kill,
kill........Kill damage.........component.........solo kill..= total
4000........5000....................2300..............10000...= 21300?
not including a 4500 Savior or Defensive along with that,
so solo kill= 21300, and an assist= 2500,

in all my matches tonight i had teammates moving in-front of me for the kill,
its gotten really bad ive have matches ive won where ive only gotten 60,000-100,000 C-bills,
and on a loss(16 or so out of the 25 matches ive played before posting) 18,000-55,000 C-bills,

if you want to promote team play get rid of the Solo Reward, and double all other rewards,

Well, if a Direwolf pilot does well in his role (blowing mechs up) and gets 300k C-Bills in a match, then a Spider who does well in his role (scouting) should also get 300k C-Bills in a match.

Disclosure: I never payed too much attention to my individual C-Bill rewards each match, and I have tried many different roles ... the only statistic at the end of the match that means anything to me is winning or losing. So as long as my long term overall earnings don't change much, I'm not going to be too dissappointed.

I will assume that before the change the rewards were out of balance (say, the DWF pilot who performed his role well, and earned 300K, but the SDR pilot who performed his role equally well earned 100K) ... did one pilot contribute more or less to a team's win? The long term answer is going to change over time, as PGI continues to adjust the rewards to balance measures of effectiveness, risk, and reward.

For a "lore" based answer ... look at it from an employer's perspective ... the guys who produced the contract for the merc company pay "X" * 12 for a win ... PGI has the unenviable task of dividing that among the 12 members of the company.

If you're that worried about your playstyle not producing the amount of you earned previously, maybe you're not playing the role that's best suited to you? Maybe you'd win more and earn more if you tried something different? Maybe it's not about the individual MechWarrior but the team as a whole?

I would agree that the rewards for straight damage/kills needs to be buffed slightly. Not majorly, but it could use an increase.
