Yes, people who complain about pinpoint damage in MWO, should really go play a game that is less simulator-like and more casual FPS.

If we are getting decals I will be excited. However merc leaders should still be given a creative decal maker similar to Black Ops and Chromehounds or through uploaded images, instead of a stupid "Halo-styled" decal maker.

Okay, about CW, a point of interest for me - drop weights.

Russ mentioned that at the point they were going ahead with dropship mode, the weight limites were 140 tons miminum and 240 tons maximum, but said that he'd be looking into varying those drop weights. Is it likely in the future that based on planet, "zone", or even both that weight limits might be different?

I'm interested in seeing some variety in weight limits, particularly lower weight limits, so we see more medium and light mechs than we do with 240. And of course, like everybody's inner child, I'd like to see something like 300 ton weight limit so that the battle is one big heavyweight brawl every now and then too.

One change I would like to see in the short term is the ability to change our mech loadout once we know the map we will be playing.

Presumably we'd know which map, or rather, "zone" that we're dropping into before we do so. Now we might not know exactly what the map is like before we've played there, we will know after we've been there. Hopefully PGI will include some planet details regarding environment and temperature by each zone so while we won't know if its a map that favours brawling or sniping or any other playstyle, but at least we know enough so we don't show up to the desert battlefield with four PPCs and look like a fool.

I really hope they add an easy to make desert map before faction wars also. That would bring the regular map count up to 12, 14? With an additional fortress map going in and they are working on another fortress map also it was hinted. 14 or more maps for faction wars seems alot more exciting.

There is so much they can do with various maps and modes. Maybe players have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

It was said they were adding some kind of new training grounds, but then nothing has been heard about it.



One thing is for sure, training grounds are so basic right now, they have to be up to something in that direction.I mean they would have added some turrets to training grounds by now if they werent up to something else right?

I would like to see something like that also they should allow you you to take up to six mechs so some players could take lots of lighter mechs wile others take fewer heavier mechs, but from what iv seen they are not having wheat limits you get a light a medium a heavy and an assault.

Yes, I've had to verify that myself ingame.
It's baffling since while the patch mentions no change in modules, why such a bug would work itself into this patch.

And thank you for suggesting the cool off, may I instead suggest that the dev team hire more competent people.

Loving the King Crab design so far.

This has probably been discussed elsewhere.... but will the claws work like missile bays, or are they just for show?
Because I see the claws on the model in the video was closed :ph34r:
