Quirks - Blackjack Arrow Ac20... What?!

Ballistic range +7.5%
Ballistic velocity +7.5%
AC/20 range +7.5%
AC/20 velocity +7.5%
Now I understand PGI is trying to define a specific role for each mech to fill, but someone explain how a mech obviously designed around 6 machine guns should have an AC20 bonus? It's like giving an Awesome 9M quirks focused on missiles and ignoring the PPCs that are blatantly poking out all over it's body...
Would love to have someone from PGI explain their rationale...

You can't do cooldown on them etc.

cooldown and heat mean nothing to MG, so they picked the ac/20 and the MG gets 7.5% range if you want to run it that way.
personally i would have gone with some laser quirks...

3xML Zombie + AC20 + 3xMG to raid people. Yeah only benefit to MG would be range since heat, cooldown, velocity all isn't needed (it's heatscan AND automatic AND non-heating type weaponry).

They could have done a damage buff for specific mechs since they seem entirely against the idea of just buffin them outright.

But, we also want the "BAM!" mech with that glorious AC-20 jumping out of nowhere to hit you. The Arrow does the job just as well, in particular since it is clearly the Ballistic heavy version.

On the whole, the new quirk system has been great, a real step in the right direction for the game. The Arrow/BJ-1 quirks, however, are a real black mark on the whole thing, because they only make sense as a cash funnel. I don't begrudge a company making money. Hell, they've made another 50 bucks off of me in just the last two weeks. I do, however, look askance when a company looks to pad its bottom line at the expense of the customer. Which is why, though I really like the Blackjack and love the look of the Hero, I won't be buying the Arrow.

Arrow should have gotten its default loadout bonuses.
Nobody uses or will use the AC-2, its a terrible weapon and everyone knows this.
